국문 초록

의사소통능력은 다양한 측면을 가지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 다학문적 접근방법을 통하여 의사소통능력의 다양한 측면들에 대한 각 학문의 관점들을 고찰한다. 의사소통능력에 대해 의사소통의 문화기술지는 언어사용의 다양한 규칙들을 인식하는 능력, 언어사용에 관련된 요소들과 통합시킬 수 있는 능력에 주목한다. 아동발달이론과 심리언어학에서는 문법지 식의 규칙을 알고, 어떤 사회적 맥락 내에서 문법적 규칙에 대해 인식하며, 언어를 일반화할 수 있는 능력을 강조한다. 사회심리학은 자신의 의도를 의사소통할 수 있는 능력, 다양한 설득전략들을 사용할 수 있는 능력을 중시한다. 사회학에서는 대화의 계열적인 순서에 따라 다른 사람들이 받아들일 수 있는 전략 및 행동과 설명을 사용할 수 있는 능력에 관심을 둔다. 화용론에서는 언어의 관념적 기능, 대인적 기능, 텍스트적 기능을 수행할 수 있는 능력에 주목한다. 이러한 각 학문들의 관점들은 언어병리학과 청각학이 아동의 의사소통능력을 다양한 측면에서 이해하는데 도움을 준다.

영문 초록

Communicative competence research requires a multidisciplinary per spective. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate what can be learned from multiple-perspective analysis of communicative competence (ethnography of communication, child language and psycholinguistics, social psychology, sociology, and pragmatics) in studying play. From ethnography of communication, a better under standing of communicative competence can be derived: children are aware of the variety of rules associated with producing, predicting, and interpreting; children are capable of integrating language with other component s involved in its use. From child language and psycholinguistics, we see that children are capable of formulating a theory of the structure of language which results in the infinite sentences they can produce and under stand; children are capable of creative generalizing about language. From social psychology, we see that children are capable of communicating intentions through variations in features of communicative style; children are capable of using a range of per suasion strategies to present oneself in relation to other s. From sociology, we see that children have the capacity for applying acceptable strategies of sequential ordering; children acquire resources for converting information from the setting into guides on how to generate socially accepted behaviors and account s. From pragmatics, we see that children have the competence of performing the ideational function, interpersonal function, and textual function of language. These findings contribute to the understanding of the complex aspects of children s communicative competence.
