학급구성원자격에 대한 초등학교 학생들의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 통합교육에 대한 논의에서 그 중요성이 크게 대두되고 있는 학급구성원자격의 개념 및 최근 연구 동향을 분석한 후, 선행연구들을 통해 학급구성원자격에 영향을 준다고 판별된 요인들 중에서 장애아동요인과 환경적인 요인에 대해 비장애아동이 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 알아보고, 일반학급에서 장애아동이 학급구성원자격을 획득하는데 있어 비장애아동의 장애아동과의 통합경험과 학년이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 장애아동이 학급에서 구성원자격을 획득하기 위해 요구되는 요인이나 교육적 목표에 대한 기초적인 자료를 제공하는 연구로서 장애아동요인과 환경요인에 대한 비장애아동들의 인식과 학급구성원자격을 획득하기 위해 필요한 교육적 고려를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, literature on inclusive education has stressed the importance of class member ship of student s with disabilities as one of critical defining characteristics of successful inclusion practice. In other words, acquiring class membership in the inclusive school is considered as an important factor to achieve an qualitative inclusion. The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of class membership of elementary - school student s in Korea. For this purpose, a questionnaire which included 23 items was developed through careful literature review, pre- test s, and a factor analysis process. Fourteen of the 23 items were focused on factor s of children with disabilities and 9 items, on ecological factors. Five hundred and forty - five elementary - school student s participated in this study. 2 statistics was used for the analysis of perception. The result s of this study revealed that perception of class member ship related to child factor s was negative in items of characteristics of disabled children, especially challenging behavior s in the classroom such as shouting or going out during the class. Ecological factor s which elementary - school student s think negatively were items related to teacher s differential rule application. Younger student s showed more permissive perception than older student s. Implication of the result s on current inclusive education practice were discussed.
