국문 초록

21세기는 지식 산업 사회, 세계화 시대라고 할 수 있다. 이 시대에서 가장 중요시되는 것은 바로 개성과 창의력이며, 이는 곧 생존과 발전의 큰 힘이다. 이에 하루가 다르게 변화하는 오늘날의 사회, 문화적 환경 속에서 미래를 살아갈 아동들의 실태와 요구에 따라 교육과정도 변화해 왔다. 이러한 가운데 서예교육은 오늘날의 흐름을 외면한 채 자연적으로 침체 상태에 빠지게 되었고, 학교 교육에 있어서도 서예 교과과정은 운영시간의 감소, 학습 환경의 미비, 일선 교사의 서예에 대한 자질 결여 등으로 형식적인 지도에 그치고 있다. 특히 방과 후 교육 활동인 특기 적성교육에서는 상급학교에 갈수록 서예교육의 감소 추세를 보이고 있다. 이러한 시대에 자라나는 세대에 보다 많은 전통문화를 접하게 하기 위해 다양한 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구는 그러한 노력의 일환으로 개성과 창의성에 맞는 학습방법을 강구하고자 서예학습 과정에 상형문자를 도입하는 방안에 관한 연구를 시도하였다. 2006년 4월부터 7월까지 인천시 S구 N초등학교 2, 3학년 방과 후 교실에 참여한 아동을 대상으로 진행하였다. 아동들이 서예학습에 흥미와 관심을 가진다면 서예교육에 새로운 창조의 밑거름이 될 수 있을 것이며, 창의성을 강조하는 제 7차 교육과정과 세계화 시대에 대비하여 새롭게 변화 발전되는 교육과정의 목표에 맞게 전인적 인격 형성에 기여할 수 있을 것이라 보여 진다. 이렇게 아동교육과정으로부터 우리의 전통문화가 활성화 될 수 있는 기틀이 조성 될 때에 비로소 우리의 전통문화가 침체 상태에서 벗어나 번영과 발전을 도모 할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

21 century is the era of knowledge industry society and globalization. In this era, personality and creativity are considered to be the most important factor, which are strong power of the existence and development. A curriculum for children has been changed in accordance with the state of children who will live in the future when rapid changes of the cultural environment and the society exist. In this context, with the neglect of calligraphy education, it has changed to the stagnation condition. In terms of school education, calligraphy curriculum is considered just as a formal education because of the decrease in its operation time, the deficiency of learning environment, and the lack of competence of the calligraphy teachers. Especially in special aptitude education of after school activities, the number of students are decreasing as they advanced to the higher level of school. It is necessary to put various efforts for the new generation to experience far more traditional culture. As part of these efforts, this research tried to study on a program to introduce the hieroglyph in the calligraphy study to find out the learning method fit for their personality and creativity. This research was performed from April 2006 to July 2006 with grade 2 and 3 students of N elementary school in S-gu, Incheon who have participated to the after- school- classes. Today's current condition of elementary school calligraphy education is done ineffectively in its actual practice since the facilities and the tools for studying are not properly prepared -such as lack of the calligraphy studying material and insufficient function of practice. With the consideration of the condition, it was attempted to apply a pictograph to the calligraphy study. The results are as follows. Therefore, if the elementary school students have enthusiasm and interest in calligraphy education, it would become a basis for the new creations. With the 7th education process emphasizing on creativity and the education process in preparation of newly changed and developed, it is expected to contribute to formation of one’s personality.
