국문 초록

기존의 질서와 기존의 문학에 대한 저항과 거부, 개인의 자유에 대한 강조를 모토로 하는 체코의 아나키즘 문학은 구체적인 삶의 이야기에 우선을 두기 때문에 사실적인 묘사와 객관적인 서술, 서민적 문체와 구어체적 표현의 사용, 규칙적인 리듬과 각운의 사용에 의한 정형시형의 도입, 노래형의 시에 대한 선호를 추구한다. 체코 아나키즘 시의 대표자로는 노이만, 겔네르, 슈라메크, 토만, 디크, 마헨 등을 꼽을 수 있는데, 이들 중 겔네르와 슈라메크의 아나키즘시가 가장 전형적이다. 겔네르는 시집 <우리 사후에야 홍수 나면 나라지!>와 <삶의 기쁨>을 통해 기존의 문명, 문화, 종교 등에 대한 강한 거부와 저항을 분출시키고 있는데, 그에게 있어서 세상은, ‘토르소로서의 세계’이고, 삶은 ‘입구가 뻥 뚫린 공허’이다. 하지만 시인 겔네르는 결코 포기하는 일 없이 이러한 세상에 온몸을 던져 맞부딪치는 삶을 선택한다. 프라냐 슈라메크의 첫 시집인 <삶의 가난이여, 내 그대를 얼마나 사랑하는가>의 주인공들 역시 겔네르 시의 주인공들처럼 소외되고 억압당하는 사회의 하층민들이고 이들의 분노와 저항이 시집의 중심 주제를 형성한다. 그러나 그의 두 번째 시집인 <파랑과 빨강>의 중심 주제는 전쟁에 대한 반대와 반(反)군국주의와 같은 군사적인 테마이다. 저항, 봉기, 혁명의 ‘붉은 아나키스트’를 자처하는 이 시집의 주인공은 바로 시인 자신의 대변자로서 반군국주의자요 불경스러운 냉소주의자이다. 겔네르와 슈라메크의 아나키즘 시가 모두 사회의 최 하층민들의 분노와 좌절, 저항과 봉기의 정신을 반영하고 있고 불공정의 시정과 사회정의의 실현을 위한 혁명정신과 더불어 자유연애를 지향하고 있다는 점이 공통적이다. 그러나 겔네르의 시의 아나키즘이 보다 더 사회적인 저항과 자유연애의 정신에 경도되어 있는데 반하여 슈라메크 시의 아나키즘은 전쟁에 대한 반대와 반군국주의 정신에 집중하고 있는 점은 서로 다르다. 하지만 두 사람의 아나키즘 시는 다른 아나키즘 시인들의 경우와 마찬가지로 20세기 초 체코 현대시의 시작을 화려하게 장식하고 있다는 점에서, 그리고 전전의 체코 아방가르드 시 운동과 1920년대 전반의 체코 프롤레타리아 시 운동에 단초를 제공하고 있다는 점에서 문학사적인 의미가 작지 않다.

영문 초록

Czech anarchist poetry with its rejection of the previous Symbolist and Decadent poetry and its emphasis on the individual freedom has oriented itself toward the preference to the realistic and concrete description as well as toward the introduction of ordinary style and spoken expression and the traditional type of verse with its fixed meter and rhymes. Among Czech anarchist poets like Stanislav K. Neumann, Fráňa Šrámek, Karel Toman, Viktor Dyk, and Josef Mach František Gellner is one of the most typical Czech anarchist poets. The lyrical heros of František Gellner's two anarchist collections After Us the Deluge (Po nás ať přijde potopa) and The Joys of Life (Radosti života) are vagabonds, tramps, and outsiders and their social environments are the slums, prostitute quaters, taverns, and the like. They express their strong rejection and resistance to the existing social and political orders including the church. Of course in their struggle against the established orders they meets with frustrations and illusions. However they do not surrender themselves to them. The lyrical heros of another typical Czech anarchist poet Fráňa Šrámek's first collection You Poverty of Life, How Much I Like You (Života bído, přec tě mám rád) also express strong hatred against the bourgeois and carry their anarchistic resistance to the bourgeois society. In Šrámek's second collection The Blue and The Red (Modrý a rudý) the military themes like anti-war movement, anti-militarism, and the war experiences comprise the main themes of the collection. And all these themes are based on his fierce anti-militarist activities that have landed him more than once in the military goal. Both Gellner's and Šrámek's anarchist poetry reflect the life of the lowest class of the society and their struggle against the established society. Both poets' poetry are oriented toward the revolutionary movement aiming at the realization of the social justice and the spirit of free love. Both are common in their emphasis on the concrete description of the reality based on their real life experiences. However they are different in that Gellner has rather been oriented toward the social resistance and the free love whileas Šrámek, in addition to these, has introduced the war themes and the anti-militarism in his poetry. Czech anarchist poetry at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries including both's has contributed to the development of the later coming Czech pre-war avant-garde movement and the Czech proletarian poetry in 1920s.
