영문 초록

This study was conducted to study effects of meredian massage and functional electrical stimulation on abdominal obesity treatment Twenty-six females in their twenties, with more than 30% of body fat and more than 80cm of the waistline agreed to participate in a 8-week long experiment from June 1 to July 31, 2007 The participants were randomly assigned into a meridian massage group and a functional electrical stimulation group, 13 for each group When we compared each measurement beofore and after experiment, both groups showed statistically meaningful reduction in body weight, body fat, BMI, abdominal circumference and hip circumference (p<0 05) The meridian massage group showed statistically more meaningful reduction in body weight and BMI And the functional electrical stimulation group showed statistically more meaningful reduction in abdominal circumference and hip circumference (p<0 05) The results of this study intend to help effective handling of abdominal obesity by examining the effect of various body elements
