포스트모더니즘의 차이개념과 그 교육적 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 포스트모더니즘의 차이개념이 현대 교육실제에 제공하는 의미를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 본 연구의 절차는 먼저 모더니즘의 지식관에 나타난 지식구성의 특징을 살펴보았다. 다음으로 포스트모더니즘의 차이개념을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 모더니즘과 포스트모더니즘의 차이개념 논의에서 시사된 교육적 의미를 탐색해 보았다. 그 결과 바람직한 교육의 실천을 위해 차이개념의 적용에 의한 새로운 교육관 구성을 제안하였다. 포스트모더니즘의 차이관이 적용된 새로운 교육관은 고정된 목적의 전수에서 벗어나 다양한 학습자의 차이를 고려한 교육목적의 설정과 이에 따른 교사관, 교육방법 등의 변화로 요약된다. 교사관은 단순한 지식의 전수자로서의 교사가 아닌 학습자의 차이를 고려하고 다양한 교육적 언어게임의 상황에서 발생하는 분쟁을 인내할 태도의 소유를 제안하였다. 마지막으로 교육방법은 고정된 방법이 아닌 유동적, 혁명 과학적 구성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this thesis is to examine Postmodern theory of difference and its meanings in education. Specifically, the examination focused on construct of the theory of Postmodern knowledge and its implications in epistemology of education. Conclusions are as follows. To fight against the terror of meta-narratives Postmodern theory of knowledge introduces a form of legitimation grounded on difference. Difference is a sphere that philosopher embodies the logic of dissent, not one that expert pursues consensus. In other words, it encourages new moves and possibilities of other purposes within one system. Also, not excluding other voices, it accepts the possibility of various utterances and strengthens patience to tolerate difference. The delegitimation by the logic of paralogy is necessarily tied to the possibility of knowledge based on difference. Postmodern theory of knowledge is grounded upon a tolerance to difference. Here difference is justified by different modes of utterances existing among rules inherent modes of discourses. Thus, Postmodern theory of knowledge presents knowledge of difference and aims at showing the differences, and suggests a man accepting them as they are with tolerance. Postmodern theory of knowledge permits us to see problems of meta narratives found in the various discourses of education. Postmodern theory of knowledge emphasis on difference and the legitimation of knowledge by paralogy go against the unitary construction of educational contents and ask us to enjoy a variety of knowledge claim. In this way, postmodern theory of knowledge has meaningful implications in the practice of education.
