국문 초록
본 연구는 대학생들의 인터넷 이용 행위를 설명할 수 있는 개념 모형을 탐색하고 실증 자료를 수집하여 이를 검증하고자 하였다. 개념 모형 탐색을 위해서는 이용과 충족이론을 활용하였다. 개념 모형의 독립변인으로 대학생들의 인터넷 이용 욕구를, 매개변인으로 대학생들의 인터넷 이용 유형 6가지를, 그리고 종속변인으로는 지속적인 인터넷 이용 의지를 설정하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 가설, 개념 모형의 적합도, 그리고 변수들간의 영향관계를 검증하기 위해 서울 소재 K 대학교 학생 640명을 대상으로 수집한 자료를 AMOS 5.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻게 된 잠정적 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들은 인터넷 이용 욕구에 따라 인터넷 이용 유형을 능동적으로 선택하거나 또는 선택하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특정 인터넷 이용 행위에 대해 하나 이상의 욕구가 복합적으로 관련되어 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 정보 검색행위를 제외한 인터넷 이용 행위는 지속적인 인터넷 사용 의지를 증가시키는 것으로 분석되었다.
영문 초록
This research investigated the explanatory model of college students" internet usage behaviors. To achieve this purpose, the Uses and Gratifications theory was applied. The Uses and Gratifications theory tells us that the needs of internet usage are related to the internet usage behaviors and to the keep using of internet.
To test research hypotheses, data were collected from K university students in Seoul. A total of 640 usable questionnaires were obtained and analyzed by SPSS 14.0 and AMOS 5.0 statistical program.
The main results of this study are as follow.
First, more than one need of internet usage are significantly related to each internet usage behavior. This result is correspondent to the Alderfer"s ERG theory.
Second, college students positively choose or not choose the types of internet usage, depending on their needs as predicted from the Uses and Gratifications theory.
Third, the internet usage behaviors are positively related to the willingness of keep using internet, just except information searching behavior.
Based on the results in this research, academical and practical implications were discussed. At last, the further research directions were suggested.
