국문 초록

  본 연구는 교육지원대상 재학생과 학부모를 대상으로 한 인식조사를 바탕으로 현행 교육지원제도를 분석하고 보다 효과성 높은 교육지원제도의 설계방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 문제점 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 교육지원제도의 발전방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 현행 교육지원금을 실제 교육지출금 등과 같은 제반 요인을 반영하여 주기적으로 상향조정할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 급증하고 있는 사교육비 중의 일부를 지원할 수 있는 방안을 강구할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 어학연수, 대학원 진학 등과 같은 자기계발 비용을 지원하는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 현행 국가유공자 자녀에 대한 대학 특별전형의 적용대학과 적용인원을 확대하고, 전형 기준을 어느정도 통일할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 일대일 멘토링시스템을 구축하여 진학 및 학업지도를 받을 수 있게 한다. 여섯째, 장학금 중복지급 등을 허용하여 학업을 열심히 하도록 유도하는 각종 인센티브제도를 도입해야 한다. 일곱째, 선진외국의 경우처럼 취업관련 교육지원을 강화할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study is to analysis the educational assistance policy for Patriots and Veterans and to suggest alternatives to improve the support. This study was implemented based on the survey of the beneficiaries who was students and their parents. The alternatives are as followings. First, it is need to raise the amount of assistance regularly based on the actual educational expense. Second, it needs to make a method to support a portion of private education expense. Third, it needs to make an alternative to support self development expense including foreign language training, graduate school education etc. Fourth, it needs to increase the number of students admitting to university through special screening process and the number of universities that special screening system is implemented. And it needs to make standard level for admission between the universities. Fifth, it needs to implement mentoring system for entering to and studying in university. Sixth, it needs to motivate to study hard by allowing to receive other scholarship addition to the educational assistance. Seventh, it needs to present vocational training or information like the advanced countries.
