국문 초록

  이 연구의 목적은 미국에서 개발된 3-10세 아동의 감각조절능력을 검사하는 도구인 Sensory Profile의 적용가능성을 알아보는 것으로, 다른 나라에서 개발된 도구를 한국 아동들에게 적용하기 전에 검사 도구의 언어 유형 및 의미의 유사성, 검사 도구의 적용 가능성(타당도와 신뢰도), 그리고 “전형적인 수행”에 포함되는 아동 비율에 근거하여 한국 일반 아동과 미국 일반 아동의 수행을 분석하였다. 검사 도구에 대한 번역-역번역, 내용 타당도 검증, 문항의 문화적 차이에 대한 검토를 통해 언어 유형 및 의미의 유사성이 있음을 검증하였다. 만3세에서 만10세의 일반아동 247명을 대상으로 검사 도구에 포함된 행동의 수행을 학부모들이 평가 기록하였다. 수집된 자료를 가지고 요인 분석과 하위 영역간의 상관관계의 분석을 통해 검사 도구가 한국 일반 아동들에게 타당한 도구임이 입증되었고, 문항내적합치도 계수를 통한 도구의 내적 일관성이 있으므로 신뢰로운 도구임이 밝혀졌다. 한국 아동의 수행을 연령군별 그리고 성별로 비교한 것에 따라 몇몇 문항에서 연령군별, 성별 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문항은 표준화시 신중히 고려되어야 할 것이다. “전형적인 수행”에 포함되는 아동 비율에 근거한 한국 아동과 미국 아동의 수행과의 비교를 통해 검사 도구의 적용 가능성이 확인되었다. 본 예비연구에 근거하여 표준화 연구를 위한 시사점이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

  This study was a pilot study on standardization of Korean version of the Sensory Profile(SP). The purpose of this study was to investigate the suitability of the Sensory Profile for Korean children. Specifically, this study addressed research questions concerning the linguistic pattern and meaning(language equivalency), the validity(content and construct validity) and reliability of the instrument, and typical performance differences between Korean and American children. The target population for the study were 247 children with the age distribution of 3 to 10. The linguistic pattern and meaning of the pilot version of SP was identified through the process of the translation and back-translation and the content validity. Statistics used for data analysis were factor analysis, correlation between domains, Cronbach"s alpha, Spearman-Brown"s values, and one-way ANOVA. Factor analysis revealed eight factors. The reliability were significantly high. The percentile of Korean children with typical performance were similar to the one of American children. Therefore the SP was confirmed to be valid and reliable for applying Korean children. Conclusions and the direction for future standardization studies were addressed.
