국문 초록

  이 글은 1990년대 중반 이후 한국사회의 젠더정치의 “위기”를 가져온 여성체험의 차이들이 여러 사회체계들의 상호교차에 의해 구성되고 있는 것임을 섹슈얼리티의 지형 분석을 중심으로 드러내려는 것이다. 그동안 젠더정치가 “순결한 이성애여성” 정체성에 근거해 젠더 억압을 중심으로 여성을 결집시킬 수 있었다면, 1990년대 중반 이후의 젠더정치는 그 같은 정체성에 근거한 젠더 체계로 여성들을 결집시킬 수 없을 정도로 젠더, 계급, 섹슈얼리티, 국가정책 체계들의 상호교차를 통해 여성들의 정체성이 재구성되고 있다. 이 연구는 체계들 간의 상호교차성에 주목함으로써 여성체험의 차이들을 배제시키지 않는 여성운동의 공간을 찾아나갈 수 있음을 주장한다.

영문 초록

  This work tries to analyze and understand the ways in which women’s sexuality has unfolded in Korean society since the mid-1990s focusing on its sexual politics and the new terrain feminist sexual politics, in response, has striven to establish in contemporary Korean society. Especially, it will be shown that the sexual politics that had been previously practiced, based on the identity of "pure heterosexual women suffering defenselessly under male violence," reveals various lacunae in the realms of both heterosexism and sexual violence. Flourishing discourses of fun/pleasure and deeping intersectionality of sexuality in recent Korean society partly reflect these lacunae or more specifically in efficacy and inadequacy of currently dominant sexual politics. The discussion of each realm proceeds by focusing on a specific event that occurred or issues and discourses thus raised in Korean society recently. These include the lesbian rights movement, cyberporn, the legislation process of the new acts on prostitution, and the Milyang sexual violence case.
