국문 초록

  본 논문은 한국유통산업의 총요소생산성을 측정하고 총요소생산성에 영향을 주는 결정요인을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국유통산업의 총요소생산성을 1981~2004년까지 업종별(도매업, 소매업, 일반소매업, 종합소매업, 백화점, 기타종합 소매업)로 측정하고 총요소생산성에 영향을 주는 결정요인을 직접요인, 간접요인, 환경요인으로 구분하여 분석 하였다. 총요소생산성 측정을 위해 사용한 방법론은 Jorgenson의 트랜스로그 성장회계모형이다. 총요소생산성에 영향을 주는 요인들에 대한 선행연구를 기초로 도시인구비중, 인구증가율, 1인당소득 증가율, 도로혼잡도증가율, 지가변동률을 환경적 결정요인으로 설정하였다. 그리고 유통산업에서 Verdoorn의 법칙 성립 여부 및 유통산업 업종간 총요소생산성 상호작용과 광고비, 연구개발비 요인이 총요소생산성을 향상시키는지를 밝힌다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study is to measure total factor productivity(TFP) and to investigate its determinants in Korean Distribution Industries. For this purpose, this study use the translog production function and growth accounting approach method which have been commonly used in this area.
  This study analyzes the determinants of TFP from the multi regression for Korean distribution industries. The dependent variable is the rate of TFP growth measured in the first step. And the independent variables are the rate of output growth, labor, capital, raw material, capital-labor ratio, entertainment cost, advertising cost, R&D cost, city-population ratio, population growth, per capita income and land price. The main results from the multi-regression are as follow.
  There is a positive relation between TFP and the output growth. Hence, the so called Verdoorn"s law can be adopted for Korean distribution industries except for other general merchandise stores.
  There is a positive relation between TFP and advertising cost in distribution industry and general merchandise stores. And also there is positive relation between TFP and R&D cost in department store.
  There is positive relation between TFP and per capita income distribution industries except for general retail trade. There is negative relation between TFP and population in retail, department store, other general merchandise stores.
