국내외 수어교육 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 수어 교육과정 개발, 수어교육 전략, 수어교육 지원 등 국내외 수어교육 동향을 살펴보고 우리나라 수어교육의 방향을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 수어교육 동향을 살피기 위해 NECA의 체계적 문헌고찰 방법을 사용하였고 최종으로 51편의 논문을 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수어교육 연구 출판 형태와 게재 연도 동향을 살펴본 결과, 2000년까지 3편, 2001년~2005년 8편, 2006년~2010년 7편, 2011년~2015년 8편, 2016년~2020년 9편, 2021년~2024년 16편으로 나타나, 연구 편수가 점차 증가하고 있었다. 둘째, 수어교육 연구 방법 동향을 살펴본 결과, 개발연구 17편, 질적연구 13편, 조사연구 9편, 문헌연구 6편, 실험연구 5편, 혼합연구 1편 순으로 나타나, 국내외 모두 증거기반 수어교육 연구가 부족한 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 수어교육 연구 주제 동향을 살펴본 결과, 에듀테크 23편, 제2외국어로서 수어교육 6편, 수어교육 탐색 5편, 교재 분석 4편, 수어교육 경험 4편, 수어교육 현황 분석 3편, 수어교육 전략 3편, 수어 교육과정 개발 2편, 교사 연수 1편으로 나타나, 공학활용 수어교육 관련 연구가 많았다. 넷째, 수어교육 연구 대상 동향을 살펴본 결과, 공통(수어를 배우고자 하는 학습자 모두) 23편, 농아동 10편, 청성인 8편, 농성인 7편, 청인 공통 2편, 농인 공통 0편이었다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 수어교육의 발전을 위해 다양한 방법과 대상으로 꾸준한 수어교육 연구가 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine domestic and international sign language education trends, including curriculum development, educational strategies, and support systems, and to consider the future direction of sign language education in Korea. To analyze these trends, NECA's systematic literature review method was employed, and 51 articles were analyzed. The research results are as follows: First, an examination of the form and publication year of sign language education research showed that there were 3 papers until 2000, 8 papers between 2001 and 2005, 7 between 2006 and 2010, 8 between 2011 and 2015, and 9 between 2016 and 2020. The number of research papers increased to 16 from 2021 to 2024. Second, an analysis of research methods used in sign language education revealed 17 developmental studies, 13 qualitative studies, 9 surveys, 6 literature studies, 5 experimental studies, and 1 hybrid study. Third, an examination of research topics in sign language education identified 23 articles on Edu-tech, 6 on sign language education as a second language, 5 on considerations in sign language education, 4 on textbook analysis, 4 on sign language education experiences, 3 on the status of sign language education, 3 on educational strategies, 2 on curriculum development, and 1 on teacher training. Fourth, an analysis of the target recipients in sign language education revealed 23 articles focused on all learners (anyone interested in learning sign language), 10 on deaf children, 8 on hearing people, 7 on deaf people, 2 on hearing individuals, and none on deaf people. Based on these results, it is suggested that continuous research utilizing various methods and subjects is necessary for the development of sign language education.
