중국인 유학생의 한국문화 적응유형 특징과 상관 요인에 관한 고찰 ―K대학의 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

This study examined the relationship between Korean cultural adaptation and influential factors for 66 Chinese international students at K University. Using Berry's (2001) East Asian Acculturation Measure (EAAM) and questions on academic achievement, the data were analyzed through frequency, correlation, and regression analyses. The findings revealed that (1) the "separation" and "integration" types were most common, while "assimilation" and "marginalisation" were rare. (2) "Integration" and "assimilation" positively correlated with academic achievement, while "separation" and "marginalisation" had negative correlations. (3) Over time, students tended to shift towards "separation" and their academic achievement decreased, suggesting a need to rethink the international student management system and curriculum. Further in-depth research is recommended.
