The Chinese animation industry has seen remarkable growth recently, marked by a shift from primarily children's series to a diverse array of high-quality productions drawing from various intellectual properties (IPs). Notably, there has been a resurgence in animations rooted in traditional Chinese culture, which have gained significant popularity. This paper explores the reasons behind this trend, focusing on government policies that support national creativity and productions based on traditional culture. These policies have revitalized the industry, combining technological advancements with China's rich animation history to produce compelling works that resonate with audiences. While themes of national identity and patriotic consumption play a role in this resurgence, the success primarily stems from the industry's ability to innovate, offering fresh narratives and production techniques that cater to diverse audience preferences.
