국문 초록

경호무도가 필요한 상황은 예측 불가능하고, 위해요소를 진압하기 위해 주어진 기회와 시간 또한 한정되어 있다. 이 연구는 다양한 일반 무도 종목들이 혼종적으로 구성되어 있는 종합격투기를 중점적으로 다루고자 한다. 앞서 언급하였듯이, 국내 경호무도 관련 연구들은 개별 종목들이 갖는 경호무도로서의 가능성에 대하여 주목하는 경향이 강했다. 그러나 종합격투기라는 종목의 전체적 특성과 기술을 경호무도와의 연관성 속에서 고찰한 연구는 드문 편이다. 이에 이 연구는 종합격투기의 속성과 기술을 경호무도로 활용하는 방안을 제시하기 위하여 3개의 범주로 전문가 집단을 구분하여 질적연구방법인 심층면담을 진행하였다. 경호학과 교수, 격투기 전문가, 공경호 및 민간 실무자로 구성된 총 9명의 전문가와의 반구조화･개방형 면담을 통하여, 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 경호무도의 교육 및 수련과 관련한 한계점으로는 체계적인 교육시스템이 부족하다는 점이 지적되었다. 둘째, 종합격투기는 다양한 일반 무도 종목들이 혼종적으로 구성되어 있는 특성을 지닌다. 기존 연구가 일반 단일 종목들이 갖는 경호무도로서의 가능성에 대하여 주목하는 경향이 강했다면, 이 연구는 종합격투기의 혼종적 속성으로부터 얻어낼 수 있는 경호무도를 위한 긍정적 활용방안을 제시하려고 노력하였다. 셋째, 종합격투기는 지속적으로 여타의 단일 무도들의 강점들을 상호보완할 수 있다는 장점이 있기에, 경호무도로서 활용하기 위한 방안의 잠재력은 무한하다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

The situation that requires security martial arts is unpredictable, and the opportunities and time given to suppress the risk factors are also limited. This study aims to focus on mixed martial arts in which various general martial arts events are composed of a mixture. As mentioned earlier, studies related to domestic security martial arts tended to pay attention to the possibility of individual sports as security martial arts. However, it is rare to study the overall characteristics and techniques of the event of mixed martial arts in the connection with security martial arts. Therefore, this study conducted in-depth interviews, a qualitative research method, by dividing expert groups into three categories to suggest ways to use the attributes and technologies of mixed martial arts as security martial arts. The following conclusions were drawn through semi-structured and open-ended interviews with a total of nine experts consisting of security professors, martial arts experts, Gong Kyung-ho, and private practitioners. First, it was pointed out that a systematic education system was insufficient as a limitation related to the education and training of bodyguard martial arts. Second, mixed martial arts are characterized by a mixture of various general martial arts events. While previous studies tended to pay attention to the possibility of a single event as a bodyguard martial art, this study tried to suggest a positive application for bodyguard martial arts that could be obtained from the hybrid nature of mixed martial arts. Third, since mixed martial arts can consistently complement the strengths of other single martial arts, the potential of the measures to be used as a bodyguard martial art can be seen as infinite.
