국문 초록

[연구 목적] 본 연구의 목적은 원광대학교의 종교교양교육인 ‘선과 인격수련’을 통해 마음공부의 핵심 요소인 감정, 공감, 취사를 고찰하는 데 있다. [연구 내용] 본 연구는 원불교의 개교정신을 바탕으로 하는 원광대학교의 종교교양교육에 대해 분석한다. ‘선과 인격수련’ 교과목을 중심으로, 감정의 발생과 인식, 공감 능력의 증진, 그리고 원만한 취사의 과정을 탐구한다. 이 과정에서 감정과 경계의 상호관계, 감정의 다양성 및 복합성을 조명하며 이들 요소가 마음공부에 어떻게 중요한 역할을 하는지를 고찰한다. [결론] 본 연구는 원불교의 종교교양교육이 감정 인식과 공감 능력을 통합하여 사회적으로 원만한 행동 선택에 기여할 수 있음을 보여준다. 특히, 종교교양교육에서 마음공부가 어떻게 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있을지에 대한 구체적인 사례를 제시한다.

영문 초록

[Objective] This study aims to explore the key elements of mind study, namely emotion, empathy, and mindful choice, through ‘Meditation and Character Cultivation’, a religious liberal arts education course at Wonkwang University. [Contents] The research analyzes the religious liberal arts education at Wonkwang University, which is based on the founding spirit of Won Buddhism. Focusing on the ‘Meditation and Character Training’ course, it investigates the emergence and recognition of emotions, the enhancement of empathy abilities, and the process of mindful choice. In this process, the study illuminates the interrelationship between emotions and sensory conditions, as well as the diversity and complexity of emotions, examining how these elements play a crucial role in mind study. [Conclusions] This study demonstrates how the religious liberal arts education of Won Buddhism can contribute to socially harmonious behavior choices by integrating emotion awareness and empathy capacity. Particularly, it provides concrete examples of how mind study can play a positive role in religious liberal arts education.
