국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국립중앙박물관 어린이박물관 체험전시물에 대한 부모의 인식을 살펴봄으로써 어린이박물관 체험전시물 구성을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 국립중앙박물관 어린이박물관의 부모관람객 110명으로 설문조사와 면담을 시행하였다. 수집된 설문지는 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 면담 자료는 전사하여 범주화 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국립중앙박물관 어린이박물관 체험전시물 중 흥미도와 발달수준 적합성이 높은 체험전시물은 ‘오케스트라’와 ‘인터랙티브 체험공간’이었다. 조작/활용방법 이해도가 높은 체험전시물은 ‘오케스트라’이며 전시주제이해 적합성이 높은 체험전시물은 ‘문화재병원 X선’이었다. 둘째, 부모들은 실물 또는 모형을 만지거나 조작하는 체험전시물과 활동지 유형의 서비스 지원을 기대하였고, 역사교육에 대한 지식 함양의 기회를 제공하며 체험공간과 관람시간 확대를 요구하였다. 추후, 어린이관람객의 흥미, 발달수준 및 이해도 수준과 부모요구를 고려한 다양한 체험전시 구성이 이루어지길 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to provide basic data on the composition of experiential exhibitions in children's museums by recognizing parental perceptions of experiential exhibitions in the Children's Museum of the National Museum of Korea. The study included 110 parent visitors to the museum who participated in a survey and were interviewed. Frequencies and percentages of the questionnaire results were calculated, and the collected interview data were transcribed and categorized. The results of this study are as follows: First, among the experiential exhibitions at the Children's Museum of the National Museum of Korea, the experiential exhibition with the highest interest was ‘Orchestra’, and the experiential exhibition with the highest suitability for the level of development was ‘Interactive Experience Space’. The experiential exhibition with the highest understanding of how to operate/use it was ‘Orchestra’, and the experiential exhibition with the highest suitability for understanding the exhibition theme was ‘Hospital for cultural assets: X-rays’. Second, parents suggested expanding experiential exhibitions in which children touch or manipulate real objects or models and providing service materials such as worksheets. They hoped that children would have the opportunity to learn about history, and demanded the expansion of experiential space and opening hours. In the future, we expect that a variety of experiential exhibitions will be organized that take into account the interests, development and understanding levels of child visitors, as well as the demands of parents.
