국문 초록

본 연구는 지역아동센터를 이용하는 청소년의 자존감에 관한 질적 연구로써 이들이 지각하는 자존감의 의미는 무엇이며 이들의 자존감이 삶에 어떻게 작용하고 있고 그 영향은 어떠한가를 심층적으로 알아보고자 하였다.이를 위하여 N시에 소재한 H지역아동센타 중⋅고등학생 중 15명을 선정하여 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 심층 인터뷰를 통해 수집된 자료는 합의적 질적 연구(CQR) 방법에 따라 평정자 4명과 감수자 1인으로 구성된 복수 연구자에 의해 분석되었으며 자료 분석과정에서 5개의 영역 개발, 14개의 범주, 그리고 23개의 핵심 개념을 도출할 수 있었다. 연구문제에 따른 분석 결과로는 연구참여자들의 자존감 형성의 기반은 부모의 격려와 상호작용, 친구들의 이해와 인정, 교사의 칭찬과 격려 등의 영향이 있었다. 그 중의 으뜸은 부모와의 친밀한 관계인 것으로 드러났다. 그리고 참여자들이 지각하는 자존감의 의미는 성장을 위해 필요한 요소로써 자신을 사랑하고 신뢰하는 믿음으로 인식하고 있었다. 참여자들은 자신들에게 자존감이 작용하고 있다는 이유로 부모의 기대에 부응하거나 보답하기 위하여 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있었으며, 친구를 챙기거나 편안하고 안정적인 관계 유지를 위해서는 상당히 중요하게 여기고 있었다. 그리고 자신을 위해서는 학업성취와 목표 달성의 삶을 살아가는 것에 대하여 긍정적인 모습을 지니고 있었다.

영문 초록

This study is a qualitative study on the self-esteem of adolescents who use local children's centers, and tried to find out in-depth what the meaning of their perceived self-esteem is and how their self-esteem is acting on life and its effect. To this end, 15 middle and high school students in H area located in N city were selected and conducted in-depth interviews. The data collected through in-depth interviews were analyzed by multiple researchers consisting of 4 raters and 1 supervisor according to the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method, and in the process of data analysis, 5 domain development, 14 categories, and 23 core concepts could be derived. As a result of the analysis according to the research questions, the basis of the self-esteem of the research participants was influenced by parental encouragement and interaction, friends' understanding and recognition, and teachers' praise and encouragement. The best of them turned out to be intimate relationships with parents. And the meaning of self-esteem perceived by the participants was recognized as a belief in loving and trusting themselves as an element necessary for growth. Participants were making various efforts to meet or repay their parents' expectations because their self-esteem was at work, and they considered it very important to take care of friends or maintain a comfortable and stable relationship. And for themselves, they had a positive appearance about living a life of academic achievement and goal achievement.
