사회과 저경력 교사의 토의·토론 수업 역량 강화를 위한 연수 프로그램 개발 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회과 저경력 교사의 토의·토론 중심 민주시민교육 역량 강화를 위해 개발된 연수 프로그램의 특징을 분석하여 향후 저경력 교사 대상 교원 연수 프로그램의 개발과 실행을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연수 프로그램 개발 과정 및 내용 구성, 그리고 연수 참여자들의 반응에 초점을 두고 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 연수 참여 교사들은 연수 프로그램에 대해 매우 긍정적인 평가를 하였다. 강의 내용 및 방법에 대한 만족도뿐만 아니라 업무에의 활용 가능성에서도 매우 높이 평가하였다. 연수 강사들은 연수 프로그램의 논리적 배치가 돋보였으며, 활동과 참여 중심의 연수 프로그램 구성으로 연수생의 만족도가 높았다고 인식하였다. 하지만, 연수 시간과 연수생의 필요와 요구에 대한 이해 부족, 그리고 강사 개인의 역량에 의존한 연수 진행으로 프로그램(강좌) 간 수준 차이가 있었던 점은 개선해야 할 과제로 평가하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 사회과 저경력 교사 연수 제도 개선 원리로서 현장성, 일체화, 협력성을 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 연수 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the training program developed to enhance the democratic citizenship education competence of low-experienced social studies teachers through discussion and debate, and to derive implications for the development and implementation of teacher training programs for low-experienced teachers in the future. To this end, the analysis focused on the training program development process and content structure, and the responses of training participants. As a result of the analysis, the teachers who participated in the training gave a very positive evaluation of the training program. Not only was the satisfaction with the content and method of the lecture very high, but it was also highly evaluated in terms of its usability in work. The training instructors recognized that the logical arrangement of the training program was outstanding and that the satisfaction of training participants was high due to the training program being structured around activities and participation. However, they evaluated that the lack of training time, the lack of understanding of the participants’ needs and demands, and level difference between programs(courses) by the instructors’ individual capabilities needed to be improved. Based on these analysis results, field orientation, integration, and cooperation were presented as principles of improving the training system for low-experience social studies teachers and suggested implications for the development and operation of training programs based on this.
