대학생의 표준 인식 및 활용 수준에 관한 연구

국문 초록

글로벌 경쟁의 심화와 급속한 기술 혁신 속도의 증가로 인해 새로운 시장에 대한 수요가 증대함에 따라 표준은 국가 경제 및 산업, 그리고 기업 경영의 핵심 요소로 주목받고 있다. 특히 융합이 핵심이 되는 4차산업혁명 시대에서 표준의 역할과 중요성은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 표준은 기업, 국가, 지역사회 공동체를 위해서 과학, 기술, 그리고 경험의 통합적 결과에 기초한 작업이며 그러한 표준의 최종 사용자는 일반 소비자이기 때문에 일반 소비자들의 표준에 대한 인식이 중요하다. 세계 주요 국가들은 표준의 중요성을 인식하고 이에 대응할 전문인력 양성에 힘쓰고 있으며, 대한민국 역시 국가 경쟁력 향상을 위한 표준전문인력 양성에 힘쓰고 있다. 특히 2004년 산업계가 요구하는 표준인력 양성을 목적으로 대학표준화강좌의 운영을 시작하였는데, 이는 대학생의 표준 인식 개선에 긍정적인 기여를 한 것으로 평가받고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 표준화 강좌가 개설되고 있는 서울의 한 대학의 학생들을 대상으로 표준 및 표준의 중요성 인식과 표준 지식 수준을 조사하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면 대학생들의 표준 및 표준 중요성에 대한 인식과 표준 지식의 수준은 다소 높은 것으로 나타나고 있다. 특히 표준 지식은 평균 8.7점으로 매우 높은 것으로 나타나고 있는데, 이러한 결과는 대학표준화강과 수강 여부에 따라 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 즉 표준화 강좌가 이러한 결과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 그러나 표준 및 표준 중요성에 대한 인식과 표준 지식 수준 여부와 비교해서 표준을 활용하는 정도는 다소 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 대학표준화강좌에서는 표준 활용을 위한 내용과 활동이 추가되는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

As global competition intensifies, the pace of technological innovation rapidly accelerates, and demand for new markets increases, standards are emerging as a key tool not only in the national economy and industry, but also in corporate management. Particularly, as the 4th Industrial Revolution, where convergence is a keyword, becomes a hot topic, the importance of standards is being further emphasized. Standards are work for companies, countries, and local communities based on the integrated results of science, technology, and experience. Since the end users of standards are general consumers, general consumers' awareness of the standards is important. Recognizing the importance of standards, the world's major advanced countries have been working to cultivate manpower to respond, and the government of the Republic of Korea also recognized the importance of the role of standards in the national economy and has been working to foster standards experts. Especially, it has been revealed that the university standardization course, which began in 2004 with the purpose of cultivating standard manpower required by the industry, has contributed greatly to improving college students' awareness of standards. Accordingly, in this study, Survey on students at a university in Seoul where standardization courses are being offered was done regarding their awareness of standards and their importance, and their level of standards knowledge. According to the analysis results, college students' awareness of standards and their importance, and the level of standards knowledge appear to be somewhat high. In particular, standard knowledge was shown to be very high with an average score of 8.7 points, and these results showed that the difference was significant depending on whether or not students took standards class. That is, it can be judged that the standards class had a positive effect on these results. However, compared to the awareness of standards and their importance and the level of standards knowledge, the degree of use of standards was found to be somewhat low. Therefore, it is necessary to add contents and activities for utilizing standards in future standards class.
