국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 치매에 대한 노인의 인식 및 지식을 조사하고 치매교육 프로그램 전, 후 차이를 비교하는 것이다. 연구방법 : 충청북도 E군 노인회관을 이용하는 노인 10명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 치매교육 프로그램을 진행하고, 프로그램 종료 후에는 교육 전과 후의 질문지 점수를 비교하여 프로그램의 효과성을 평가하였다. 결과 : 연구결과, 치매인식에 대한 사전 점수는 3.02이었고 사후 점수는 평균 3.44로, 0.42점 향상되었다. 치매 지식에 대한 사전 점수는 3.70이며 사후 점수는 5.70로, 2점으로 향상되었다. 결론 : 본 연구의 결과는 치매에 대한 노인들의 인식과 지식을 변화시킬 수 있는 효과적인 치매 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 데 있어 임상적 근거 자료로 활용 가능할 것이다. 이를 통해 임상에서의 치매노인을 위한 실질적인 프로그램 개발이 가능해질 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception and knowledge of dementia among the elderly and to compare the differences before and after a dementia education program. Methods : The study was conducted with 10 elderly individuals using the Senior Community Center in E City, Chungcheongbuk-do. A dementia education program was conducted, and after the program concluded, the scores from questionnaires taken before and after the education were compared to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. Results : Research results showed that the pre-test score for dementia perception was 3.02, and the post test score increased to an average of 3.44, showing an improvement of 0.42 points. For dementia knowledge, the pre test score was 3.70, and the post test score increased to 5.70, showing an improvement of 2points. Conclusion : The results of this study can be utilized as important evidence in developing effective dementia education programs that can positively change the perception of dementia among the elderly. Through this, it is expected that practical program development contributing to the improvement of the quality of life for elderly individuals with dementia and their families will be possible.
