인턴 음악치료사의 개인 수퍼비전 경험에 대한 합의적 질적연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 인턴 음악치료사의 개인 수퍼비전 경험을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 연구자는 인턴십 과정 중 개인 수퍼비전을 15회기 이상 경험한 인턴 음악치료사 9명을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행한 뒤 합의적 질적연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, ‘개인 수퍼비전을 시작하기 전의인식’, ‘개인 수퍼비전에 대한 긍정적인 경험’, ‘개인 수퍼비전에 대한 어려운 경험’, ‘개인 수퍼비전을 통한 성장’ 총 4개의 영역과 16개의 범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구결과의 주요 내용은 다음과같다. 첫째, 개인 수퍼비전을 시작하기 전 인턴 음악치료사는 이에 대해 기대감, 두려움 및 양가적인 감정을 가진 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일대일로 진행되는 수퍼비전을 통해 인턴 음악치료사는 필요에 따른 지도를 받았으며, 수퍼바이저의 격려를 받으며 자신에 대하여 자유롭게 공유할 수 있었다. 셋째, 인턴 음악치료사는 혼자 지도를 받는 상황이 부담스러웠고 수퍼바이저와의 위계적인 관계및 자신을 직면하는 경험이 어려웠다. 마지막으로, 인턴 음악치료사는 개인 수퍼비전을 통하여 전문적 · 개인적 성장을 촉진하였으며 자신의 관점을 확장시킬 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 인턴 음악치료사들을 위한 개인 수퍼비전의 필요성을 시사하고 이에 대한 유용한 정보를 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine intern music therapists’ experience of individual supervision. In-depth interviews were conducted with nine intern music therapists who experienced individual supervision more than 15 times during the internship process. The data were analyzed using a consensual qualitative research method. Consequently, 4 domains and 16 categories were derived. The four domains were: ‘perception before beginning an individual supervision’, ‘positive experiences in individual supervision’, ‘difficulty experiences in individual supervision’, and ‘growth through individual supervision’. The results showed that intern music therapists experienced difficulties due to the hierarchical relationship with their supervisors, the burden of attention, and confrontation with problems through personal supervision. However, the participants were able to overcome and challenge themselves beyond their limits with their supervisors’ support. Additionally, participants were able to expand their perspective on understanding clients with the help of personal supervision and develop expertise such as therapeutic direction and musical intervention skills. Moreover, they stated that they were provided with an opportunity to reflect on themselves by facing their inner selves and trying to solve problems. Therefore, this study provides meaningful information about understanding individual supervision experiences of intern music therapists.
