대학생들이 생각하는 ‘시간’의 의미: 포토보이스를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생들이 생각하는 ‘시간’의 의미를 살펴보기 위해 포토보이스 연구를 실시하였다. 포토보이스 연구방법은 Latz(2018)가 제시한 절차를 변형하여 파악, 모집, 교육, 기록, 서술, 발표,관념화, 확증의 단계를 거쳤다. 본 연구에 참여한 연구참여자는 B시에 소재한 D대학의 대학생들로, 연구 동의를 구한 80명 중 자발적 의사 동의를 밝힌 42명이 최종 선정되었다. 본 연구는 2021년 6월 ~ 8월에 자료수집이 이루어졌으며, 2021년 9월 ~ 22년 3월까지 자료분석이 이루어졌고, 이후 자료 검증과논문 작성 기간이 있었다. 본 연구 결과, 대학생들은 시간의 의미에 대해 첫째, 나를 느끼게 하는 선물 같은현재의 시간, 둘째, 경험의 총체로 차곡차곡 쌓인 축적의 시간, 셋째, 달라지는 변화의 시간, 넷째, 붙잡을수 없는 흐름의 시간, 다섯째, 앞으로 채워갈 여백의 시간으로 나타내고 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 대학생들이 생각하는 시간의 의미를 넘어 삶의 태도를 이해하는 기초자료가 되어줌으로써, 대학생들이 건강하게시간을 체험하며 보낼 수 있는 대학생활과 교육에 대한 시사점을 제시한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

In this study, a photovoice study is conducted to examine the meaning of ‘time’ that university students think. The photovoice research method modified the procedure presented by Latz(2018) and went through the stages of identification, recruitment, edu-cation, recording, description, presentation, ideation, and confirmation. The research par-ticipants who participated in this study were university students at DUniversity located in Bcity, and 42 of the 80 participants who asked for consent for the study were finally se-lected participants through consent. In this study, data was collected from June to August 2021, and data analysis was conducted from September 2021 to March 2022, followed by data verification and a thesis writing period. As a result of this study, university students were asked about the meaning of time through five concepts: The present time like a gift that makes me feel, The time of accumulation accumulated one by one as the totality of experiences, The time of change that changes, The time of unstoppable flow, The time of blank space to be filled in the future. The results of this study provide basic data for under-standing the attitude of life beyond the meaning of time that university students think and suggest implications for university life and education that university students can experi-ence and spend time in a healthy way.
