작업치료 임상가의 응급상황별 응급처치 대처능력과 교육필요성 연구

국문 초록

연구목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 국내 작업치료 임상가의 응급처치 교육경험에 따라 실제 응급상황에서의 대 처능력과 교육필요성을 조사하여 교육경험이 응급처치 대처능력과 교육필요성에 미치는 영향을 알아봄 으로써 향후 작업치료사의 역량강화를 위한 응급처치 교육의 필요성을 제시하기 위함이다. 연구방법 : 본 연구의 대상자는 현재 의료기관 및 사회복지시설에서 근무하고 있는 작업치료 임상가로서 총 150명에게 본 연구에서 구성한 설문지를 배포 및 회수하였다. 설문지는 일반적 특성(6문항), 응급처 치 교육경험(7문항), 각 응급상황에 따른 대처능력과 교육필요성(총 24문항)등 총 37문항으로 구성하였 다. 응급처치 교육경험에 따른 응급상황별 대처능력과 교육필요성의 차이를 분석하기 위해 t-검정을 시 행하였으며 두 종속변수 간의 상관성은 Pearson 상관분석을 시행하였다. 결과 : 응급처치 교육경험에 대한 빈도분석 결과, 전체 대상자(n=150) 중 115명(76.7%)이 응급처치 교 육을 받은 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 응급처치 교육경험 유무에 따른 응급처치 대처능력은 경험과는 상관없이 모두 ‘대처할 수 없다’라고 응답하였으며 ‘호흡장애(t=2.721, p<.05)’를 제외한 모든 항목에서 두 집단 간 통계학적으로 유의하지 않았다(p>.05). 교육필요성에 대한 집단 간 차이 분석에서는 심정지 (t=-2.646, p<.05)와 경련 및 마비(t=4.17, p<.05) 항목에서만 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 두 종속변수간의 상관관계는 확률적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다(p<.05) 결론 : 본 연구결과, 응급처치에 대한 교육경험이 있더라도 실제 응급처치 대처능력은 무경험자와 크게 다 르지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 실제 응급상황에 적절히 대응할 수 있도록 보다 지속적이고 현장감있 는 교육과 훈련이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the coping ability and educational need in an actual emergency situation according to the first aid education of the occupational therapist and to examine the effect of the educational experience on the ability to cope with first aid and the need for education. Methods: One hundred and fifty occupational therapists working in clinical settings were selected and surveyed as subjects for this study. The questionnaire consisted of 37 questions, which included the general characteristics and first aid experience of the subject as well as their ability to cope with various emergency situations and opinions on the necessity of first aid education. Results: One hundred and fifteen(76.7%) answered that they had experienced first aid education or training. For their ability to cope with first aid treatment according to whether or not they had first aid education experience, they answered that they were ‘unable to cope’ regardless of experience. All items except respiratory disorder (t = 2.721, p <.05) showed no statistical significance(p >.05). The correlation between two dependent variables was statistically significant(p <.05). Conclusion: The results of this study show that the ability to cope with first aid treatment is not significantly different from that of an untrained person even when they have experience teaching first aid. Therefore, more continuous and realistic education and training will be needed to respond appropriately to an actual emergency situation.
