국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 알렌 인지 수준 판별검사(ACLS)의 타당도를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 작업치료임상에서 널리 사용되고 있는 표준화된 인지 검사인 한국판 간이 정신상태 판별검사(MMSE-K)와 로웬스타인 작업치료 인지 평가(LOTCA)를 실시하고 수행 점수 간 상관관계를 비교하였다. 연구방법 : 2006년 5월 1일부터 5월 31일까지 서울 소재 병원에서 작업치료를 받는 뇌졸중 환자 30명을 대상으로 MMSE-K, LOTCA, ACLS 평가하였다. 결과 : ACLS와 MMSE-K, LOTCA는 유의한 정 상관관계를 나타냈다. ACLS는 일상생활의 도움 유무와 생활수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며 연령과는 역 상관관계를 나타내었다. MMSE-K와 LOTCA는 연령과 유의한 역 상관관계가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구의 결과에서 뇌졸중 환자의 ACLS 수행점수는 MMSE-K와 .605, LOTCA와 .678의 높은 상관관계를, MMSE-K와 LOTCA는 .738의 상관관계를 보였다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 ACLS은 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으 로 인지검사로 타당하다는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Objective : Cognitive abilities of persons with stroke are strong predictors of functional outcome in activities of daily living. The ACLS is an evaluation tool designed to characterize an individual's level of cognition and occupational performance. Although several studies suggest that the ACLS is a useful measurement tool of cognitive function, it has not yet been widely utilized in Korea. Therefore, we examined the correlations among the Allen Cognitive Level Screen(ACLS), the Mini Mental State Examination-Korean version(MMSE-K) and the Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment(LOTCA) in persons with stroke. Method : We studied thirty people with stroke(16 females and 14 males) who were admitted to occupational therapy department of a general hospital in Seoul. Participants were tested with the ACLS, the MMSE-K and the LOTCA. Result : The MMSE-K highly correlated with the LOTCA(rs = .738, p <.05), the ACLS moderately correlated with the MMSE-K(rs = .605, p < .05) and the LOTCA(rs = .678, p < .05). The ACLS and the MMSE-K showed a negative correlation with age. Conclusion : The ACLS, the MMSE-K and the LOTCA are valid and useful measurement tools evaluating cognitive function of persons with stroke in Korea.
