한국 베일리 영유아발달검사 4판(K-Bayley-4) 언어척도 표준화를 위한 예비연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 한국 표준화를 위한 기초자료를 얻기 위해 베일리 영유아발달검사 4판(Bayley-4)의 언어척도를 기초로, 한국 영유아의 언어발달과 한국어 문법에 적절한 언어척도를 개발하고 개발된 언어척도의 내용타당도와 신뢰도를 검토하였다. 연구방법: 먼저 Bayley-4 언어척도(수용언어, 표현언어)를 번역/역번역과정을 거쳐, 한국 영유아의 언어발달과 한국어 문법에 대한 전문가 검토와 1차 예비조사(n = 68)를 통해 문항을 수정, 보완, 삭제하여, 한국 베일리 영유아발달 검사 4판(K-Bayley-4)의 언어척도를 개발하였다. 전국(서울, 경기도, 충청도, 경상도, 전라도)의 생후 16일에서 42개월 30일에 해당하는 영유아 257명을 대상으로 검사를 실시하여 척도의 문항난이도, 문항통과율, 신뢰도를 산출하였다. 연구결과: 예비연구 결과, K-Bayley-4의 언어척도 일부 문항을 수정, 추가, 삭제하여 수용언어는 43문항(8문항 수정, 2문항 추가, 1문항 삭제), 표현언어는 40문항(4문항 수정, 4문항 추가, 1문항 삭제)으로 구성하였다. 문항난이도 분석 결과, 한국 영유아 언어발달과 한국어 문법 등의 차이로 인한 일부 문항을 제외하고 문항 순서는 기존 문항과 거의 일치하였다. 문항통과율 분석 결과, 수용언어는 원도구와 동일하게 시작점을 5지점으로 설정하였으나, 표현언어에서는 시작점을 3지점에서 6지점으로 세분화 하였다. 신뢰도의 경우 반분신뢰도는 .992-.989 내적합치도는 .974-.976으로 모두 적절하였다. 결론: K-Bayley-4의 언어척도는 한국 영유아의 언어발달, 즉 수용언어과 표현언어를 적절하게 평가할 수 있는 도구임을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objective: This study sought to obtain basic data concerning the Korean standardization of the Bayley-4 assessment tool; this was achieved by reviewing the content validity and reliability of the language scale designed in accordance with the development of Korean infants and Korean culture. Methods: First, a translation/reverse translation process was performed on the Bayley-4 language scale (receptive communication, expressive communication). Afterwards, the language scale of the K-Bayley-4 was developed by revising, supplementing, and deleting the questions through a process of expert review and an initial preliminary survey (n = 68). After conducting a second preliminary survey of 257 infants and toddlers aged 16-43 months in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Gyeongsang-do, and Jeolla-do, the content validity, question difficulty, passage rate, and reliability of the language scale were analyzed. Results: As a result of the second preliminary study, the language scale of the K-Bayley-4 consists of 44 receptive communication and 41 expressive communication items. These results produce a similar order to the existing questions, with the exception of certain items which diverge due to differences in language development and Korean grammar. The starting point of the age group was adjusted from 3 to 6 points for the expressive communication category only. The reliability of the language scale was found to be within an appropriate range. Conclusions: It can be seen that the language scale of K-Baley-4 can appropriately evaluate the language development of Korean infants and toddlers; that is, the receptive and expressive communication.
