국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 3학년 아동들을 대상으로 자존감 증진 프로그램을 실시하고, 참여 아동들의 자존감 변화를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 3학년 6명을 대상으로 참여관찰법을 활용한 사례연구를 진행하였으며, 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동들의 자존감은 대체적으로 사전보다 사후에 상승하였으며, 빗속의 사람 검사에서도 아동들의 자존감 변화가 나타났다. 둘째, 각 아동마다 자존감을 높여주는 영역이 있으며, 이러한 자존감의 수반성이자존감 변화에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 어머니 면담과 프로그램 참여를 병행할 때, 어머니의 아동에 대한 이해 촉진 및 아동의 프로그램 참여 효과를 높여 궁극적으로 모-자녀 관계 및 아동의 자존감 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과가 아동들을 중심으로 한 자존감 증진 프로그램을 계획하는데 기초자료가 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to conduct a self-esteem enhancement program for children in the third grade of elementary school and to examine the changes in self-esteem of the participating children. To this end, a case study using the participatory observation method was conducted on 6 students in the third grade of elementary school, and the main results of this study are as follows. First, children's self-esteem generally increased after the fact, compared to before, and the results of Draw-a-Person-in-the-Rain also showed changes in the children's self-esteem. Second, it was confirmed that Each child has an area that increases their self-esteem and that the contingencies of self-worth affects the change in self-esteem. Third, It was confirmed that the combination of mother interviews and participation in the program had a positive effect on the mother-child relationship and the formation of children's self-esteem by promoting the mother's understanding of the child and increasing the effectiveness of the child's participation in the program. It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as a basis for planning self-esteem promotion programs centered on children.
