국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화교육을 받은 예비교사 대학생들의 다문화교육의 효과를 살펴보는 관점에서 수행된 질적 연구이다. 연구를 위해 다문화교육을 수강한 대학생들 대상 심층면담과 참여관찰로 다문화 역량 변화를 조사하여 다문화교육의 효과를 탐색하였다. 연구결과 다문화교육 전 예비교사 대학생들은 다문화이해에 대한 내용이 충분히 인지되어 있지 않았으며 다문화 역량의 수준이 낮았다. 그러나 다문화교육 후에는 다문화와 관련된 다양한 내용들이 인식되면서 다문화 역량이 크게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 한국 다문화사회와 다문화가정 및 다문화가정 아동의 실태 위주의 다문화인식은 다문화에 대해 개방적이고 수용적인 태도를 이끌었다. 또한 다문화교육을 통해서 다문화가정 학생 대상 다문화교육의 인식 및 다문화교육의 효능감에 큰 변화를 가져왔음이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

This study is a qualitative research to examine the effectiveness of multicultural education for preservice teachers who have taken the multicultural education courses already. The participants of the study comprised of 12 students. The results are as follows. Before they took the multicultural education courses, they had not fully understand about the multicultural understanding and the level of multicultural competency was low. However after they had taken the multicultural education, they showed a increase of multicultural competencies. First, on the multicultural education perception, they cognized the multicultural education as preventive one, and realized that it needed the suitable and integrated curriculum. Second, the multicultural attitudes were changed into open attitudes such as interracial marriage and in acception which South Korea coexists with intercultural people. Third, on the multicultural education attitudes, they had an efficacy toward multicultural education. And in the future they want to practice integrated multicultural education, in addition their multicultural motivation and self-confidence occurred.
