국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 증가하고 있는 다문화가정 초등학생들을 대상으로 학교생활적응상의 한계와 그 가능성을 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 다문화가정 초등학생의 성공적인 학교생활적응을 돕기 위한 교육 및 정책적 지원에 함의를 제공하는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구의 집중적인 자료 수집은 2009년 7월 20일부터 2010월 2월 28일까지 이루어졌다. 다양한 연구 참여자들의 면담자료와 일지자료를 질적 연구 분석 프로그램인 Nvivo 2.0 프로그램을 통해 다문화가정 초등학생의 다양한 학교생활적응양상에 대해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 다문화가정 초등학생의 학교생활적응양상으로 친구관계 측면, 수업 측면, 교사관계 측면에서 각각의 한계와 함께 그 가능성도 찾을 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 다문화가정 초등학생의 성공적인 학교생활적응을 돕기 위한 학생, 교사, 학부모와 같은 교육주체들의 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study intends to confirm the main factors influencing the school adjustment and the various types of the school adjustment. By doing this, this study provides an undertone in educational and political parts for multicultural family students. The study started on February 1. 2009, the intensive data collected from July 20, 2009 to February 28, 2010. The study explored the factors influencing the school life of multicultural family students and the various types of the factors through qualitative research on the daily record and empirical interview with participants, who are multicultural family students, multicultural family parents and grandparents, teachers who had teaching experiences with the multicultural families, mentor teachers of university students, etc. The result of the study is as follows. There are three school adjustment types of multicultural family students, which are the adjustment to friends, the adjustment to classes, the adjustment to class teachers. Thus, the multicultural education for general family students and class teachers is necessary to help multicultural family students have good school life.
