청소년 국악관현악단의 운영실태 및 방향성 모색 - 충청도 천안시와 청주시 소재 청소년 국악관현악단을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구는 충청도 천안시와 청주시에 소재하는 3개 청소년 국악관현악단의 운영 실태를 비교해 보고 방향성을 모색해 보고자 하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 2022년 11월부터 2023년 4월까지 청소년 국악관현악단 3개 단체의 운영 현황을 알아보았으며 국악관현악 교육에 대한 인식 조사를 위해 129명의 단원들을 대상으로 하여 설문 조사를 실시하였는데 다음과 같은 분석 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 먼저, 단원들이 갖고 있는 국악에 대한 관심도는 긍정적 답변이 69.6~77.3 %로 높아졌으며, 활동 만족도는 전반적으로 80~85%의 높은 만족도를 보였다. 연주곡 난이도에 대해서는 창작곡을 어려워하는 단원이 많게는 37%로 나타났다. 또한 국악관현악곡 외에 다른 국악 곡을 연주해보고 싶다는 응답이 사물놀이 - 대취타 - 국악 성악 - 정악 순으로 높았다. 이러한 조사 결과를 바탕으로 청소년 국악관현악단의 바람직한 운영과 발전을 위해서 요구되는 몇 가지 제안을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 청소년 단원들의 수준을 고려하여 연주능력 편차를 줄이는 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 또한 청소년 단체에 걸맞는 국악관현악 창작곡을 위촉하거나 청소년 수준에 맞게 재편곡하여 연주함으로서 단원들의 음악적 성취감을 키우는 노력이 필요하다. 둘째, 국악관현악 외에도 다양한 곡을 접하게 하여 실력 향상을 도모하도록 하여야 하겠다. 셋째, 강사의 교육능력 향상을 위한 별도의 연수 프로그램이 필요하다. 이는 강사들을 대상으로 한 교육 컨텐츠로 제작하여 가상연수를 분기별로 실시하는 것도 고려하였으면 한다. 또한 강사 결근 시 임시 강사 확보에만 의존하기보다 지휘자를 중심으로 한 팀 티칭 방식의 대체 프로그램 수립도 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to compare the operation status of the three youth Gugak Orchestra located in Cheonan-si and Cheongju-si, Chungcheong-do, and to seek directions. To this end, from November 2022 to April 2023, the operation status of three youth Gugak Orchestra organizations was investigated, and a survey of 129 members was conducted to investigate the perception of Gugak Orchestra education, and the following analysis results were obtained. First of all, the members' interest in Korean traditional music increased to 69.6 to 77.3%, and the overall satisfaction with the activity was high at 80 to 85%. As for the difficulty of the performance, as many as 37% of the members found it difficult to make creative songs. In addition, Samulnori, Daechwita, Korean traditional music, and Jeongak were the highest in the order of wanting to play other Korean traditional music. Based on the results of these surveys, I would like to make some suggestions required for the desirable operation and development of the Youth Gugak Orchestra. First, a separate program is needed to reduce the variation in the performance level of the members. Second, in addition to Gugak orchestral music, various songs should be introduced to improve their skills. Third, a separate training program is needed to improve instructors' educational skills. It would be nice to consider making it an educational content and conducting virtual training quarterly. In addition, it is necessary to establish an alternative program for team teaching centered on the conductor rather than relying on the temporary instructor when the instructor is absent.
