국문 초록

이 연구는 한국노동패널조사 자료를 활용하여 중고령 남성의 주된 일자리 퇴직 후 경력경로를 유형화하고, 도출된 경력경로 유형별 특성을 구명하였다. 여기서 경력경로 유형은 중고령 남성이 주된 일자리에서 퇴직한 시점을 시간축으로 하여 120개월 동안 월 단위로 나타난 직종 및 종사상 지위 이동을 유형화한 것이다. 연구의 주요 결과 및 결론으로는 먼저, 국내 중고령 남성은 주된 일자리 퇴직 후 경력경로에 있어 하위의 이질적인 6개 집단으로 구분될 수 있다. 또한 일반적 특성 중에서는 개인의 출생년도와 건강상태만이 주된 일자리 특성에서는 개인이 주된 일자리로부터 퇴직한 연령과 일자리 정년 여부만이 경력경로 유형에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보이는 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 최종적으로 완전 은퇴형, 단기 재취업형, 단순노무 임금근로형, 준숙련 자영업자형, 만기퇴직 후 완전 은퇴형, 만기퇴직 후 재취업형 등으로 명명하였다. 연구 결과를 기초로 후속 연구 측면에서는 특정 연령이나 생애사건을 시간축으로 한 연구 설계, 재취업 일자리 특성의 구체적 파악을 위한 지표 활용, 보다 긴 관찰기관 확보 및 그에 따른 보완적 분석법 구안에 대한 사항을 제언하였다. 연구결과의 활용 측면에서는 중고령 남성의 노동시장 참여 확대를 위한 인력활용정책 제시, 개인의 능력 및 생산성에 기반한 맞춤형 지원 제공, 개인이 보유한 능력이나 스킬과 연계한 재취업 지원에 대한 사항을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study classified the career path of middle-aged and older men after resigning from main jobs using the KLIPS and investigated the characteristics of each type. For this, the time point at which they resigned from their main jobs was fixed on a time axis, categorizing the shift in occupation and job position on a monthly basis for 120 months. The main results and conclusions are that first, middle-aged and older men in Korea can be classified into six heterogeneous groups in their career paths after resigning from their main jobs. Also, it was confirmed that only the year of birth and health status among the general characteristics showed significant differences according to the type of career path. And in the main job characteristics, only the resignment age and compulsory retirement plan showed differences according to type. Finally, the types were named as Full retirement type, Short-term reemployment type, Simple labor paid workers type, Semi-skilled self-employment type, Full retirement after maturity resignment type, and Short-term reemployment after maturity resignment type. Based on the results of the study, research design based on a specific age or life event as a time axis, utilization of indicators to understand the characteristics of reemployment jobs, securing longer observation institutions, and subsequent complementary analysis methods were suggested. In terms of utilization of the research results, it suggested suggestion of manpower utilization policy to increase the labor market participation of middle-aged and older men, provision of personalized support based on individual ability and productivity, and reemployment support in connection with skills or abilities possessed by individuals.
