고등학생의 4-H활동 만족도가 농산업 분야 진로 선택 의향에 미치는 영향: 농업·농촌의 가치 인식의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 인력 문제 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농산업 분야에 젊은 인력을 유입하는 방안으로서 학교 내 4-H동아리 활동의 활성화 및 프로그램 개선방안을 마련하고자 수행되었다. 구체적인 연구의 목표로는 고등학생의 4-H활동 만족도가 농산업 분야 진로 선택에 미치는 영향 관계를 알아보고, 4-H활동 만족도와 농산업 분야 진로 선택에서 농업·농촌의 가치 인식이 매개효과가 있는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 설문의 항목은 4-H활동, 4-H활동 만족도, 농업·농촌 가치 인식, 농산업 분야 진로선택 의사, 인구통계학적 특성으로 구성하였다. 자료수집은 경기도 내 4-H활동을 하는 고등학교 15개 학교 219명을 대상으로 약 2달간 설문을 진행하였다. 4-H 활동에 대하여 고등학생들은 대체로 만족하고 있었으며, 농업·농촌 가치에 대한 인식도 경제, 환경, 사회문화 모든 부분에서 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 다만 농업계 고등학생만이 대학 진학 및 직업 선택 의사에서 긍정적인 의견을 나타내 일반계 고등학생과의 통계적인 차이를 나타냈다. 고등학생들의 4-H활동은 농업·농촌의 가치 인식과 농산업 분야 대학 진학 의향에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 농업·농촌의 경제적 가치 인식은 4-H활동과 대학 진학 의향의 매개 요인으로 작용하므로 4-H활동 프로그램을 구성할 때 농업과 농촌의 경제적 가치에 대한 프로그램의 개발이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to prepare measures to revitalize 4-H club activities in schools and improve programs as a way to introduce young manpower into the agricultural industry, which is currently experiencing difficulties due to manpower problems. The specific purpose of the study is to find out the relationship between high school students' satisfaction with 4-H activities on their career choice in the agricultural industry, and to verify whether the recognition of the value of agriculture and rural areas has a mediating effect on satisfaction with 4-H activities and career choice in the agricultural industry. did The items of the survey consisted of 4-H activities, satisfaction with 4-H activities, awareness of agricultural and rural values, intention to choose a career in the agricultural industry, and demographic characteristics. For data collection, a questionnaire was conducted for about 2 months with 219 students from 15 high schools participating in 4-H activities in Gyeonggi-do. High school students were generally satisfied with the 4-H activities, and the perception of agriculture and rural values was positive in all areas of economy, environment, and social culture. However, only agricultural high school students showed positive opinions on their intention to go to college and choose a job, showing a statistical difference from general high school students. It was analyzed that high school students' 4-H activities had a positive effect on their perception of the value of agriculture and rural areas and their intention to go to university in the agricultural industry. In particular, since the recognition of the economic value of agriculture and rural areas acts as a mediating factor between 4-H activities and the intention to go to university, it is necessary to develop programs on the economic values of agriculture and rural areas when organizing 4-H activity programs.
