학습동아리 활동에서 자기주도 학습능력에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 : D대학 사례 연구

국문 초록

대다수 대학 CTL에서 학습자 주도형 학습동아리를 운영하고 있고, 학과에서도 학업성취 및 취업 등의 목적으로 학생 주도형 학습동아리를 운영하고 있다. 교수나 선배 등이 학습동아리의 멘토로 참여하는 경우도 있지만, 대다수의 학습동아리는 학습자들이 팀을 이루고 팀 내에서 역할을 결정하여 스스로 운영하는 학습자 주도형으로 운영되고 있다. 학습자 주도형 학습동아리를 계획하고 운영하는 입장에서는 학습동아리 활동을 통해 학습자의 자기주도 학습능력이 향상 될 수 있을 것이라는 믿음을 가지고 있고, 이는 연구를 통해 어느 정도 검증되고 있다. 그러나 학습자 중심의 자기주도 학습동아리 활동에서 어떤 변인이 학습자의 자기주도 학습능력을 향상시키는지에 대해서는 밝혀진 바가 많지 않다. 본 연구를 통해 자기주도 학습능력과 관련된 학습동아리 활동 변인을 밝히고자 하였다. 연구결과 학습동아리 활동의 참여 횟수보다 학습동아리에서의 역할이 자기주도 학습능력에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 따라서 학습동아리를 설계하고 운영할 때 학습자의 학습동아리 참여 정도에만 관심을 가질 것이 아니라 학습동아리 내에서 학생들이 리더의 경험을 가질 수 있도록 고려되어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Most CTL(Center for Teaching and Learning) in universities operate the student centered study circles. They are also operated by departments in university for academic achievement and employment preparation. In some cases, professors and seniors participate as mentors in the student centered study circles, but most study circles are operated by learners who form team, decide roles, and operate by themselves. From the perspective of planning and operating student centered study circles, such as CTL, there is belief that learners could improve their self-directed learning ability through student centered study circles. It has been verified some extent through this research. However, it is not much else known what variables of student centered study circles improve students’ self-directed learning ability. The purpose of this study is to reveal the variables of study circles related to self-directed learning ability. Research result shows that the role of study circles influences self-directed learning ability rather than the number of participation of study circles. Therefore, it suggests that students should be considered to have the experience to be a leader within the study circles, not be interested in the degree of students’ participation when designing and operating student’s study circles.
