주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(ADHD)가 있는 아동청소년의 부모에 관한 국내 연구동향 분석: 2000년∼2022년

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 2000년대부터 2022년 12월까지 한국연구재단 등재학술지에 게재된 논문 51편을 대상으로 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(ADHD)로 진단받은 아동청소년의 부모에 관한 국내 연구의 동향을 분석했다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 분석대상 논문을 하위주제, 연구방법, 자료수집 및 분석방법 면에서 부모자녀 요인 연구(n=21), 양육경험 연구(n=8), 부모 개입 연구(n=22)로 구분하여 개별 논문들의 특성을 파악하고, 이를 토대로 연구 경향에 대한 비판적 분석을 수행했다. 연구결과: 부모자녀 요인 연구는 다양한 부모관련 요인과 ADHD 관련성을 살펴본 것과 ADHD 자녀 요인과 부모 양육부담의 관련성을 살펴본 것으로 분류되며 병리 및 취약요인에 역점을 둔 공통점이 있었다. 부모 개입 연구에서는 소수 가족치료 개입을 제외하고 대다수가 부모 교육과 인지행동치료를 적용했으며, 병리에 초점을 둔 측정도구나 성과지표를 일관되게 사용한 점이 주목되었다. 한편 부모경험 연구는 전체의 16%에 불과하지만 ADHD 자녀를 양육하고 돌보는 내부자 경험과 입장을 조명한 의의가 있다. 결론: 부모를 자녀 병리에 대한 원인제공자나 관리통제자에서 돌봄경험의 자산을 보유한 주체로 초점 전환하고 이를 확장하는 대안적, 임파워먼트 개입의 필요성을 적시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study analyzed the trends in research on parents of children and adolescents diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), published in Korea from the 2000 to 2022. Methods: Fifty-one articles were selected based on their subtopics, research methods, and data collection and analysis methods, and were grouped into studies on parent-child factors (n=21), parenting experiences (n=8), and parental intervention (n=22); and their characteristics and the trends were critically examined. Results: Studies examined either various parental factors related to ADHD or the relationship between ADHD child factors and parental caregiving burden; however, both tend to focus on pathology or vulnerability. Most intervention studies applied parental education and cognitive behavioral therapy, except for a few studies that utilized family therapy. Repeated use of outcome indices related to pathology was notable across different studies. While only 16% of the studies were on parental experiences, they shed light on the perspectives of those who raise and care for children with ADHD. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for alternative and empowering interventions with parents as assets possessing caregiving experiences.
