유아반 교사와 만 3~5세 자녀를 둔 어머니의 놀이신념에 관한 기초연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 교사와 어머니의 놀이신념을 살펴봄으로써 서로에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히고, 어머니와 교사 교육 대상자들의 특성을 고려한 다양한 교육의 필요성을 제시해보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울 및 경기 지역에 소재한 어린이집과 유치원에 재직 중인 유아반 교사 123명과 만 3-5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 142명이다. 교사와 어머니의 자기보고 자료를 분석한 결과, 첫째, 유아반 교사의 배경변인에 따른 놀이신념에서 유치원 교사의 놀이신념이 어린이집 교사보다 높았다. 둘째, 만 3~5세 자녀를 둔 어머니의 일반적 특성에 따른 놀이신념 차이를 살펴본 결과, 부모교육 경험이 있는 집단이 없는 집단보다 높은 수준의 놀이신념을 보였다. 셋째, 유아반 교사와 만 3~5세 자녀를 둔 어머니의 놀이신념에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 전반적으로 교사의 놀이신념이 어머니보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 교사와 어머니를 대상으로 유아 놀이에 영향을 미치는 요인 중 하나인 놀이신념을 살펴봄으로써 유아 놀이의 실행력을 확장하기 위한 기초 틀을 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to broaden mutual understandings of mothers and teachers through studying the differences between play beliefs of early childhood teachers and mothers with 3 to 5-year-old children and to propose the need for various educational programs taking into account the characteristics of both mothers and teachers. The subjects of the study were 123 early childhood teachers who are working at daycare centers and kindergartens located in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces, and 142 mothers with 3 to 5-year-old children. As a result of analyzing the self-reported data of both teachers and mothers, first, according to general characteristics of early childhood teachers, the play beliefs of kindergarten teachers were higher than those of daycare center teachers. Second, as a result of studying the difference in play beliefs according to the general characteristics of mothers with 3 to 5-year-old children, higher levels of play beliefs were found in the group with parental education experiences than in the group without parental education experiences. Third, as a result of examining whether there is a difference in the play beliefs of early childhood teachers and mothers with children aged 3 to 5, it was found that the overall play beliefs of teachers were higher than those of mothers. This study is meaningful in establishing a basic framework for expanding the execution power of play in early childhood by examining play beliefs.
