대학생이 인식하는 괜찮은 일자리(decent work)와 좋은 일자리(good work)에 대한 특성 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 일자리의 질적인 부분을 논의하는데 활용되는‘괜찮은 일자리(decent work)’와‘좋은 일자리(good work)’에 대한 대학생의 인식을 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 대학생은 진로탐색 및 노동시장 진입기 단계에 있다. 따라서 이 시기 일자리를 어떻게 인식하고 선호하느냐에 따라 미래 일자리 선택이 달라질 수 있기 때문에 미래 노동시장을 예측할 수 있는 중요한 대상이다. 이를 위해 수도권과 비수도권 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 3~4학년 11명을 모집하여 면담(집단, 개인)을 실시하고 이를 질적 내용분석으로 분석하였다. 면담결과는 Jencks, Perman & Rainwater(1988)가 제시한 좋은 일자리의 경제적, 사회적, 심리적 관점을 중심으로 분석하였다. 대학생들이 인식한 괜찮은/좋은 일자리는 살펴보면, 경제적으로는‘최소 요건을 충족하되 평균 임금보다 높은 수준의 일자리’,‘임금과 워라밸이 보장되는 일자리’, 사회적으로는‘미래에도 성장하는 일자리’,‘사회적 시선이 좋은 일자리’라는 의견이 있었다. 또한, 심리적으로는‘주관적 만족감이 높은 일자리’,‘나를 인정, 존중해주는 일자리’의 특성을 갖추고 있어야 한다고 보았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 선행연구에서 제시한 괜찮은/좋은 일자리 특성과 대학생 및 MZ 세대가 바라보는 일자리 특성을 비교하였으며, 진로교육과 상담현장, 청년 일자리 정책에 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine university students’ perceptions of the concepts of 'decent work' and 'good work', which are mainly used to view the quality of jobs. University students are also important in terms of the future labor market in that their job choices may vary depending on their perception of future work, as it is an important time in the career exploration and entry stage of the labor market. To this end, group or individual interviews were conducted with 11 university students(third and fouth year) in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas. The interview results were analyzed focusing on economic, social, and psychological standards, which are good work indicators by Jencks, Perman & Rainwater(1988). University students presented "work that meet minimum requirements, but are higher than average" and "work that grow in the future" and "work with good social perspective" as characteristics of decent and good work. Based on these research results, general good and good work characteristics were compared with job characteristics viewed by university students and MZ generation, and implications for application to career education and career counseling sites and youth job policies were presented.
