대학 평생교육체제에서 ‘성인친화적’ 교육 개념화의 논리와 접근방식 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 평생교육체제 정책과 사업에서 고등교육과 평생교육 연계의 접합 개념이 되고 있는 ‘성인친화성’ 교육 개념이 대학교육 맥락에서 조직화되는 방향과 내용, 핵심 원리를 도출하고, 이에 준거해서 ‘성인친화적’ 대학 평생교육체제는 실제 대학 사례에서 어떻게 이해되고 구현되고 있는가를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 대학 평생교육체제 구축에서 고려해야 할 ‘성인친화성’ 교육의 논리는 7가지, 즉 ➀ ‘맞춤형(또는 특화형)’, ➁ ‘다양성’, ➂ ‘유연성’, ➃ ‘교육접근성’, ➄ ‘현장친화성’, ➅ ‘지역친화성’, ➆ ‘확장성’이 도출되었다. 둘째, ‘성인친화적’ 대학 평생교육체제가 실제 교육현장에서 구체화되는 영역으로 교육과정, 학사 및 교육 운영, 학습자 지원체제 부문에 대한 분석 결과, ➀ 교육과정 영역은 - ‘접근성’, ‘맞춤형’, ‘현장친화성’, ‘지역친화성’의 4가지 논리, ➁ 교육 및 학사 운영 영역은 - ‘유연성’, ‘현장친화성’, ‘접근성’의 3가지 논리, ➂ 학습자 지원체제 영역은 - ‘맞춤형’, ‘다양성’, ‘지역친화성’, ‘확장성’의 4가지 논리를 주요 근간으로 ‘성인친화성’이 접근되고 구조화되고 있었다. 마지막으로 본 결과에 기반해서 이 연구의 문제 설정의 지반, 즉 ‘성인친화적’ 대학 평생교육체제 구축과 연계한 몇 가지의 한계요인과 추후 과제를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study determined the content, direction, and main principles of how the concept of ‘adult friendliness’ - which is a joint concept of linking higher education and lifelong education in the policies and projects related to the university lifelong education system - is organized in the context of university education. With this understanding, the study examined how the adult-friendly university lifelong education system is being implemented in actual university cases. First, the establishment of an adult-friendly university lifelong education system was structured and developed based on the seven policy pillars and principles of customization, diversity, flexibility, accessibility, job-field friendliness, local friendliness, and expandability. Second, as the areas where “adult-friendly” university lifelong education system actually materializes in the context of university education, the curriculum, undergraduate system and education operation, and learner support system were analyzed. Results revealed that the adult-friendly approach was structured and implemented based on the following principles: ➀ Curriculum area - the four principles of accessibility, customization, job-field friendliness, and local friendliness; ➁ Undergraduate system and education operation area - the three principles of flexibility, job-field friendliness, and accessibility; ➂ The learner support system area - the four principles of customization, diversity, local friendliness, and expandability. Lastly, this paper presented some limitations and tasks identified with the establishment of an ‘adult-friendly’ university lifelong education system.
