유치원장의 대학원과정 경험의미 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학원과정에 진학하여 학위를 취득하고 유치원에 재직 중인 사립유치원 원장을 대상으로, 그들의 대학원과정 학습동기, 학습만족, 학습경험 등에 대한 경험 의미를 탐색한 것이다. 연구 방법은 Colaizzi의 현상학적연구 방법을 인용하였다. 연구 참여자는 사립유치원에서 10년 이상 원장직에 재직하며 유아교육 및 교육학 전공계열 대학원 박사과정에서 일과 학업을 동시에 경험한 박사학위 취득 원장 5명이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구자는 연구를 통하여 8가지의 의미 구성 요소와 13개의 의미 하위구성 요소가 도출되었다. 의미구성 요소로는 학습동기관련 <채움을 향한 마지막 도전>, <인생반전의 새로움>, 그리고 학습경험 관련 하위 의미구성 요소로는 <해결과 해소의 완성>, <덕망과 소양의 밑거름>, <당김과 이끎의 길잡이>, <기대 이상의 자랑스러움>,<열린 삶의 가지치기>, <환원하는 삶의 성장>이 있다. 이를 통하여 유치원장의 대학원과정 학습 경험은 첫째, 유치원장 직무수행 과정에서 요구되는 전문지식의 채움을 가능하게 해주었고, 둘째, 유치원장의 심리적 안정과 사회적 지위를 향상시켰으며, 셋째, 지속적인 배움을 통하여 ‘자랑스러운 인간됨’을 만들어 가는 과정임이 탐색되었다. 따라서 이 연구 결과는 향후 유치원장의 지속적인 학습참여 동기 유발은 물론 그들의 전문성 신장과 직무수행 변화 그리고 개인적 삶살이 방식 전환에 대학원과정 경험이 기여함을 입증함에 큰 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the meaning of kindergarten principals' experiences through learning motivation, learning satisfaction, and learning experience in graduate school courses. The research method cited the phenomenological research method of Colaizzi. Five principals who have served as directors for more than 10 years in kindergartens and have worked and studied at the same time in graduate school doctoral courses in early childhood education and education were interviewed for this study. Major findings were as follows. 8 semantic categories and 13 semantic subcategories were identified from this study. 8 semantic categories and 13 semantic subcategories were identified from this study. Semantic categories related to learning motivation were: 1) the last challenge for completion, 2) the novelty of life's twists. Semantic subcategories related to learning experience were: 1) the completion of solution and relief, 2) the foundation of virtue and refinement, 3) a guide to pulling and leading, 4) pride beyond expectations, 5) pruning of an open life, 6) he reductive growth of life. The kindergarten principal's graduate learning experience first enabled him to fill the expertise required in the kindergarten principal's job performance, secondly, improved his psychological stability and social status, and thirdly, it was explored as a process of creating a “proud human” through continuous learning. Therefore, the results of this study are significant in revealing that graduate school experience contributes not only to motivating kindergarten principals to continuously participate in learning in the future, but also to improving their expertise, changing job performance, and changing the way individuals live their lives.
