유아교사의 과학교수 상태불안 및 특성불안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 과학교수 상태불안과 특성불안이 어떠한지를 알아보고, 유아교사교육에 주는 시사점과 바람직한 과학교육을 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위한 연구대상은 부산·경남에 소재한 유아교육기관의 유아교사 300명을 무선표집하여 최종 253부(84.3%)를 분석하였다. 연구도구와 수집된 자료는 과학교수 불안을 측정하는 S-STAI 검사를 하고, 이를 일원분산분석과 Scheffé 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유아교사의 경력에 따라 상태불안과 특성불안은 모두 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 경력이 많을수록 과학교수 상태불안과 특성불안은 감소하고, 경력 1년 이하 유아교사는 과학교수 특성불안이, 경력 2년에서 5년은 상태불안이 더 높게 나타났다. 즉, 유아교사의 경력과 과학교수 불안은 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 경력이 낮을수록 과학 수업뿐만 아니라 일반적으로 불안을 느끼고 있으며, 경력이 높을수록 과학 수업을 실시하고 있을 때 불안을 느끼는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 과학교수에 대한 자신감과 같은 정의적 특성을 증진시키기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 과학교수 플랫폼과 같은 과학교수 연수의 장(場)이 마련되어져야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to find effective science education methods for early childhood teacher nurture curricula, to examine the differences of science anxiety according to childhood teaching careers, and to suggest the educational values for pre-service early childhood teachers. In order to achieve these objects of the study, questionnaires were used to survey 300 teachers in charge of 5-year-old children’s classes in both public and private kindergartens in Busan and Gyeongnam Province. Two hundred fifty three questionnaires were qualified for this study among the returned survey. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-(STAI) was used to assess the characteristics of anxiety, and all these variables were investigated using one-way ANOVA with Scheffé. Results: there were significant differences between state-anxiety and trait-Anxiety. The result of ANOVA revealed that the more work experience early childhood teachers have, the more cause of mathematics anxiety they alleviate. These results suggest to improve the attitude toward science and to decrease anxiety toward science education methods of early childhood teacher nurture curricula.
