신경과학적 접근을 통한 유아 창의성 교육의 방향 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 신경과학적 접근을 통해 밝혀진 창의성에 영향을 미치는 뇌의 작용에 대해 탐색하고 유아 창의성 교육에의 시사점을 얻기 위해 수행되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 위하여 두뇌발달과 창의성 관련 뇌 구조 및 두뇌활동에 관한 선행연구를 수집하고 분석하여 창의성을 "유기체 뇌 안에서의 신경망이 기존의 연결과는 다른 유형으로 재구성됨으로써, 사회적 맥락 속에서 새롭고 적절한 것을 산출하는 인간의 보편적 두뇌 활동"으로 정의하였다. 유아 창의성 교육에 관한 본 연구의 시사점은 다움과 같다. 첫째, 유아 창의성 교육은 창의성 발현을 위한 준비과정으로 이해되어야 한다. 둘째, 창의적 동기를 유발하기 위해 교육환경에서의 위협을 제거하는 것이 선행되어야 하며, 풍요로운 환경과 논리적 비판적 사고를 증진시키는 다양한 활동들을 제공하여야 한다. 추후 본 연구에서 제시된 교육방향을 적용한 창의성 교육 프로그램 개발 적용함으로써 신경과학적 접근을 통한 경험적 연구가 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore brain activity that affect creativity and to suggest the educational implications for early children's creativity education. This study gathered and reviewed literature about brain development, the brain structure and the brain activity related creativity, and defined creativity as "The Human's common brain activity to produce something both novel and useful within a given social context". The main suggestion about early childhood creativity education from this study were as follows. First, Early children's creativity education should be understood as preparation for being creative. Second, threat in early children's creativity education should be eliminated for creative motivation, and teachers should provide rich-environment and activities for improving logical-critical thinking capability. It is need an empirical study based on neuroscientific approach to applicate education direction that suggested in this study.
