학습 스타일의 개인차와 창의적 성격특성의 상관적 분석

국문 초록

창의적 ‘ 인지과정’에는 지식의 학습과 지식의 활용이라는 두 가지의 대조적인 사고 양식이 있다. 본 연구는 이와 유사한 차원에서 창의적인 ‘사람’에 학습스타일과 창의적 성격의 두 가지를 대입하여 이들온 어떤 관계를 가지는지를 움미해 보았다. 그리고 학습스타일의 개인차에 따라 창의적 성격의 하위요소들온 어떻게 결합되어 있는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 초중고등 학생들을 대상으로 학습스타일 검사(LSDI)와 창의적 성격검사(SAM)를 실시하였다. 그리고 얻온 걷론들온 몇 가지로 정리할 수 있었다: 첫째, 학습스타일과 창의적 성격은 비 교적 독립적인 성격기제로서 창의적 활동을 이루고 있는 양극의 대조적인 성격 차원이라 말할 수 있다 둘째, 심상적 스타일의 사람온 대조적인 집 단인 언어적 스타일의 사람보다 ‘진취성’ , ‘지성 ’ 및 ‘예술성’ 등의 하위요인에서 보다 더 우수하였다. 분석적 스타일은 전체적 스타일 보다 ‘환경적 민감성’에서 , 그리고 개인적 스타일은 집단적 스타일 보다 ‘개성’ 에서 더 우수하였다. 마지막으로, 학습스타일을 의도적으로 개발하면 창의적 성격과 창의적 수행에 긍정적으로 기여할 것으로 생각하였다. 대조적인 성격 특성들을 조합하거나 과제의 요구에 따라 쉽게 이동할 수 있는 능력은 학습스타일의 개발을 통하여 향상될 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 이러한 걷론에 대한 제한과 함의들을 같이 논의해 보았다.

영문 초록

Many research literatures suggest that the creative process consists of two distinctive dimensions such as 'apprehension' (learning, acquisition of knowledge) and 'utilization' (application of knowledge). In parallel with this distinction, this study considered the two dimensions of the creative 'person' such as 'learning styles' and creative personality and examined their relationship with 143 students subjects. LSDI test of the learning styles had three process elements such as perceptual mode (verbal - image style), information processing manner (analytical - global style) and the performing environment (individual - collective style) and SAM had 6 sub-elements. The results obtained showed that, firstly, the learning styles and creative personality seemed to be two distinctive dimensions of creative 'person'. And it further revealed that the individual differences in image style showed higher score in Initiative, Intellectuality and Artistry, analytical style outperformed in Environmental sensitivity and the individual style in Individuality comparing to respective counterpart style. And, finally, it seemed that development of learning styles might contribute to the enhancement of creative personality and consequently to the better creative performance. The limits and implications of the study are also discussed.
