튜터링 프로그램이 튜터와 튜티의 이해력과 사고력에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들을 대상으로 튜터링 프로그램을 적용하고 튜터와 튜티의 효과성을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 전북의 W대학교 5개팀(튜터 : 6명, 튜티 : 20명)을 선정하여 약 1개월 간 실시하였다. 튜터와 튜티의 효과성 분석은 이들이 제출한 소감문을 중심으로 하였다. 그 결과 튜터와 튜티 모두 긍정적인 변화가 있었다. 튜터의 경우, 첫째, 튜티들을 지도하면서 리더십이 향상되었다. 둘째, 튜티들에게 설명하는 과정에서 자신의 이해력이 향상되었다. 셋째, 학습자의 한계를 벗어나 교수자의 시각에서 바라보는 상위 인지적 사고가 향상되었다. 넷째, 스스로 학습을 준비함으로써 자기주도적 성향이 향상되었다. 다섯째, 타인을 지도하면서 자신을 되돌아봄으로써 자아발견의 계기를 마련하였다. 튜티의 경우, 첫째, 팀 수업을 통해 대인관계 능력과 융통적 사고가 향상되었다. 둘째, 자기 발전의 계기를 마련함으로써 학습에 대한 동기가 부여되었다. 셋째, 이론과 현장체험을 통해서 통합적 사고가 길러졌다. 넷째, 학과성적이 향상됨으로써 자신감이 형성되었다. 다섯째, 학과공부를 선행하면서 앞으로 공부해야 할 학습과제를 발견하는 계기를 마련하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of tutoring program on tutors and tutees. For the experiment, 6 tutors and 20 tutees(5 teams) from Wuniversity in Jeon Buk were selected and the class was for one month. The effectualness analysis over tutors and tutees is based on their thoughts. As a result, the program was effective for both tutors and tutees. The results for tutors are as following. First, their leadership improved as they tutored others. Second, their understanding improved as they showed tutees how to study. Third, their super ordinary cognitive thoughts improved as they saw things from the teacher's point of view by overcoming the learner's limitation. Fourth, their self-leading tendency improved as they learned materials by themselves. Fifth, they had an opportunity to look through themselves as they taught others. The results for tutees are as following. First, their personal relationship and adaptable thinking improved through team teaching. Second, their motivation toward learning increased as they started to see themselves improving. Third, their coordinated thinking ability improved through principles learning and field experiences. Fourth, they gained confidence as they got better school grade. Fifth, they figured out what to study by themselves as they did precedent learning.
