유아 창의성 교육에 관한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 유아 창의성 교육과 관련하여 수행된 질적연구들을 종합하고 분석하여 유아 창의성 교육에 대한 포괄적인 이해를 증진시키고자 한다. 연구방법: Noblit와 Hare(1988)가 제시한 질적 메타분석의 연구 절차 7단계를 적용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과: 유아 창의성 교육 관련 질적 연구물 23편을 대상으로 질적 메타분석을 적용한 결과, 3가지 차원과 7가지 범주 체계가 도출되었다. 자세히 살펴보면, 유아 차원에 창의적 유아의 특성, 교사 차원에 창의적 교사의 인성 특성, 창의적 수업, 창의성 및 창의성 교육에 대한 인식, 유아교사교육, 환경 차원에 가정환경, 교육기관으로 재범주화 되었다. 결론: 개별 질적연구 23편을 종합․분석하여 도출된 새로운 결과를 통해 유아 창의성 교육을 폭넓게 이해할 수 있게 되었고, 집단 창의성, 교사교육 및 부모교육의 강조, 물리적 지원 등의 환경 차원에서의 변화가 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objective: This study aimed to synthesize and analyze the qualitative research on early childhood creativity education to develop a comprehensive understanding of such education. Methods: This seven steps of the qualitative meta-analysis process outlined by Noblit and Hare (1988) were applied. Results: A qualitative meta-synthesis of 23 qualitative studies on early childhood creativity education revealed in three categories (child, teacher, and environmental dimensions) and seven classification schemes. Specifically, the child dimension was re-categorized into characteristics of creative young children, the teacher dimension into character traits of creative teachers, creative lessons, perceptions of creativity and creativity education, and early childhood teacher education, and the environmental dimension into home environment and educational institutions. Conclusions: New findings provide a broader understanding of early childhood creativity education and suggest the need for changes in the environmental dimensions of collective creativity, emphasis on teacher and parent education, and physical support.
