고등학교 통합과학과 과학탐구실험 교과서에 제시된 ‘한반도 기후 변화 경향성 파악하기’ 관련 활동 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 2015 개정 과학과 교육과정의 통합과학과 과학탐구실험 교과서에서 제시된 ‘한반도 기후 변화 경향성 파악하기’ 관련 활동을 분석하였다. 2015 개정 과학과 교육과정에서 제시한 ‘한반도 기후 변화 경향성 파악하기’ 관련 활동이 통합과학 및 과학탐구실험 교과서에서 어떻게 구현되고 있는지를 살펴보기 위해, 통합과학 및 과학탐구실험 교과서에 제시된 활동 제목, 학습 목표, 활동 내용, 활동 유형으로 구분하여 비교⋅분석하였다. 그 결과, 통합과학 및 과학탐구실험 교과서의 활동 제목과 학습 목표는 ‘한반도의 기후 변화 경향성 파악’을 공통적으로 진술하여, 2015 개정 과학과 교육과정 문서에서 제안하고 있는 탐구활동과 유사하였다. 활동 내용을 분석한 결과 ‘기후 변화 경향 파악’은 통합과학 교과서와 과학탐구실험 교과서에서 모두 다루고 있었으며, ‘기후 변화의 영향으로 나타나는 현상 소개’, ‘기상관측자료 수집’, ‘기후 변화 대응 실천’은 과학탐구실험 교과서에서만 다루고 있었다. 활동 유형을 분석한 결과 과학탐구실험 교과서는 데이터 수집, 데이터 시각화, 데이터 관계 분석, 디지털 도구 활용 등의 활동 유형을 모두 다루고 있으며, 통합과학 교과서는 데이터 관계 분석만 다루고 있었다. 즉, 과학탐구실험 교과서의 ‘한반도 기후 변화 경향성 파악하기 활동’은 통합과학 교과서보다 학생이 스스로 활동을 수행하고 데이터를 활용한 과학탐구 수행에 중점을 두어 활동을 구성하고 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the topic “understanding the trend of climate change in the Korean Peninsula” presented by textbooks for integrated science and scientific inquiry–experiment for high school under the revised national science curriculum for 2015. Toward this end, the investigator analyzed the title, objective, content, and types of activity. The main findings were as follows. First, in integrated science and scientific inquiry–experiment textbooks, the titles and objectives of activities are contained in the topic “understanding the trend of climate change on the Korean peninsula.” In other words, the titles and objectives of the activities were similar to the exploration activities proposed in the document for the revised science curriculum for 2015. Second, the study observed a difference in contents and types of activity between integrated science and scientific inquiry–experiment textbooks. For contents of activities, the textbooks featured “understanding the trend of climate change.” However, the activities for scientific inquiry–experiment textbooks were developed into “introduction to phenomena caused by the effects of climate change,” “collection of weather observation data,” and “practice in responding to climate change.” Furthermore, the activities were generally developed into “data collection,” “data visualization,” “data relationship analysis,” and “digital tool utilization.” Alternatively, activities in integrated science textbooks only developed the topic “data relationship analysis.” Therefore, scientific inquiry–experiment textbooks focused on the performances of students in independent activities and science exploration that utilizes data compared with integrated science textbooks.
