장애영유아를 위한 보육교사의 장애유아 놀이 지원에 대한 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아·놀이중심 교육과정이 시행되고 있는 장애아통합어린이집의 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사의 장애유아 놀이 지원에 대한 인식을 조사하고 지원 요구를 알아보고자 2021년에 장애아통합어린이집에서 장애아 보육을 담당하는 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사 8명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 개별 면담을 실시한 후 질적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 면담 기록을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애유아의 놀이 행동에 대해 ‘장애 특성에 따른 놀이 지원’, ‘단순한 반복행동과 놀이’, ‘제한된 놀이 관심과 놀이 참여 기술 부족’, ‘놀이 참여로의 변화’로 범주화했다. 둘째, 장애아통합어린이집의 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사의 놀이 지원 역할에 대해서는 ‘놀이 행동 수용 및 지원 ’, ‘놀이 개입에 대한 갈등’, ‘놀이 관찰’, ‘놀이 지원 중 일반 보육교사와의 협력’으로 범주화하여 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사가 다양한 방식으로 놀이 지원하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 이 결과는 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사의 지원에 대한 요구로 이어졌다. 지원요구는 ‘놀이지원에 대한 교사교육’, ‘놀이지원 가이드라인’, ‘저경력 교사를 위한 지원’, ‘새로운 교사 협력 체계’로 범주화하여 여러 지원 요구가 있음을 알게 되었다. 본 연구는 개정 누리과정 보육현장 적용에서의 장애유아 놀이 지원을 위한 장애아통합어린이집의 장애영유아를 위한 보육교사 지원 실태 파악 및 지원방안 강구에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the perspectives centered on the support provided by childcare teachers for the play of children with disabilities at childcare and education centers with inclusive programs. To this end, eight childcare teachers were selected as research participants in 2021 and interviewed; the collected interview contents were analyzed using a qualitative research method. In this study, the play behaviors of children with disabilities were organized into categories of “play support according to disability characteristics”, “simple repetitive behavior and play”, “limited interest in play and lack of play participation skills”, and “change to play participation.” Moreover, childcare teachers were found to have generally organized support play by categorizing methods into “acceptance and support of play behavior”, “play conflict intervention”, “play observation”, and “cooperation with general childcare teachers during play support.” This leads naturally into the needs that were discussed in the study; the needs of childcare teachers for children with disabilities were organized into the categories of “teacher education for play support”, “play support guidelines”, and “new teacher cooperation system(s).” Overall, this study is meaningful in providing basic data that is necessary for the identification of the current status of support for childcare teachers for children with disabilities with inclusive programs as to support the play of the aforementioned children with disabilities within the purview of the revised Nuri curriculum.
