국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교사가 가지는 역사에 대한 인식 정도와 역사에 대한 관심도 및 역사교육 경험이 교사의 역사의식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위한 연구문제는 첫째, 교사의 역사의식은 어떠한가? 이며, 둘째, 교사의 역사에 대한 인식 정도와 역사에 대한 관심도 및 교육경험이 교사의 역사의식에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 이다. J시 유아교육기관에 근무하는 만 3~5세반 교사중 연구참여에 동의한 240명을 대상으로 전자우편을 통하여 연구 도구를 배부하였으며, 회수된 226부의 자료를 사용하였다. 교사의 역사의식 검사 도구로 권이정(2022), 김나림(2022)의 질문지를 교사용으로 수정하여 사용하였고, SPSS를 이용하여 기술통계, 일원분산분석, Scheffe 사후 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과로 교사의 역사의식은 보통 이상이었으며, 역사의 유용성에 대한 인식이 가장 높았고, 역사적 지식이 가장 낮았다. 또한, 교사의 역사에 대한 인식 정도와 관심도가 높을수록, 역사교육 경험이 많을수록 교사의 역사의식은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 교사의 역사의식 함양을 위한 다양한 노력으로 교사의 역사에 대한 인식과 관심도의 증진이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of teachers’ perceptions and interest in history, as well as the impact of history education experience on teachers’ historical consciousness. The research question proposed first asked what a teacher’s historical consciousness was then, it asked what the effects of a teacher’s degree of perception and interest in history and educational experience are on their historical consciousness. The research tools for this study were distributed through email to 240 teachers of classes of 3- to 5-year-old children that agreed to participate in the study at the early childhood education institution in J City. 226 copies of the collected data were used. These tools were adapted through a modification of a questionnaire from Kwon Yijeong (2022) and Kim Na-rim (2022) for use as a testing tool for a historical consciousness. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics using SPSS+ 18, one-way variable analysis, and Scheffe post-verification. The results of the study found that teachers possessed an above-average historical consciousness, but their awareness of the usefulness of history was the highest, whereas their actual historical knowledge was the lowest. Moreover, it was found that a higher degree of perception and interest in history as well as history education experience positively correlated with a higher historical consciousness. Overall, this study suggests that it is necessary to increase teachers’ perception and interest in history as to cultivate their senses of history.
