수업 환경을 고려한 초등예비교사의 단소 실기 지도 방안

국문 초록

코로나19 상황이 장기화 되면서 비대면 수업은 대부분 대면 수업으로 전환되었다. 하지만 대면 수업을 하더라도 실내에서 학생들의 마스크 착용 의무화는 지속되고 있는 상황이기에 입으로 불어 소리를 내야 하는 관악기 교육에 대해 보다 효과적이고 다양한 지도법이 요구된다. 단소는 초등교육 현장에서 가장 일반적으로 사용되는 국악 관악기라 할 수 있으며 실제 대부분의 초등 5~6학년군 음악 교과서에는 단소 지도와 관련된 내용을 다루고 있다. 여러 국악기 중 비교적 부피가 작고 연주법이 쉬우며 보관이 용이하다는 장점이 있어 보편적으로 활용되는 것으로 보인다. 그런데 교실 수업 환경이 예전 같지 않은 상황에서 기존의 단소 지도법을 그대로 적용하기에는 무리가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 마스크를 착용한 상태로는 교사가 시범 연주를 보여주기도 어렵고, 학생이 직접 단소를 불며 연주하는 것에도 상당한 제약이 따르기 때문이다. 이러한 상황이 지속됨으로 인해 더욱 우려가 되는 것은 초등 음악 교과에서 필수적으로 다루어야 할 단소 실기 교육이 제 때 이루어지지 못하여 국악기를 처음 접하고 배울 수 있는 기회가 더욱 요원해질 수 있다는 점이다. 마땅히 교육되어야 할 단소 실기 수업이 코로나 상황의 장기화로 인해 교사와 학생들에게 다가갈 수 있는 기회가 줄어드는 것 같아 안타깝다. 이에 예비교사와 함께 초등 교육 현장에서 느끼는 단소 실기 수업 지도에 대한 어려움을 덜고 보다 적극적으로 지도 할 수 있도록 수업 상황 변화를 고려한 단소 실기 지도 방안에 대해 고민해 보았다. 앞으로도 초등 교육 현장에서 실질적으로 활용할 수 있는 국악 실기 지도 방안 연구가 활발하게 이루어지기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Since Covid-19 situation is lasting longer than anticipated, most of classes switched from online to offline. For offline classes, wearing masks indoors is still obligated, therefore, an effective and a different approach in teaching a wind instrument, where one has to blow in order to play, are required. Danso is the most commonly used Korean traditional wind instrument for elementary school education. Mostly 5th and 6th grade music textbooks cover the instruction of teaching Danso. Out of various Korean traditional instruments, Danso has its merits in small size, low-level difficulty, easy storage, and portability. They are believed to be the reasons of prevalence of Danso. Since teaching environment is unlike before, it is proven difficult to follow exiting Danso instructions. With masks on, teachers are restricted to demonstrate Danso to class and students can hardly play Danso themselves. As these circumstances continue, it is especially worrisome if Danso is not properly taught at an opportune moment, students would be unable to learn and miss the introduction of their first Korean traditional instrument which is an essential component of elementary education. It is a shame, this everlasting Covid-19 situation prevents teachers and students from practicing Danso which they should be able to. Thus, we have considered other means for Danso practice instruction to ease the hardship of teaching candidates, teachers, and students during Danso practice class and actively engage in the class. More research is expected for instructions on Korean traditional instrument teaching which can actually be applied to elementary education.
