영문 초록

Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) are using the political rhetoric, ‘spirit of the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea’, to enhance the legitimacy of governance and respond to pressure of hegemony competition with the U.S. This paper presents the three characteristics and two side effects of rhetoric as follows. The three characteristics are 'acceptance of the audience', 'seeking persuasion', and 'formation and maintenance of common consciousness'. The two side effects are 'fact distortion' and 'causing social instability'. The political rhetoric also has these characteristics and side effects. This paper attempts to derive meaningful results by applying political rhetoric concept to ‘spirit of the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea’ in the Xi Jinping era.
