New Model of Life Planning Learning for the 100-Year Life Era for Japanese High School Kateika (Home Economics)

국문 초록

평균 수명의 증가는 많은 국가들의 공통된 관심사이다. 불확실성이 높은 사회에서 고등학생들이 긴 인생의 생활 설계를 하는 데 있어 자기 탐구와 자기 계발을 위한 다양한 기회를 제공하는 것, 지금의 자신을 변화시키고 싶은 고등학생들을주위와 사회가 지지하며, 자립할 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 현재 일본의 가정과 교사가 인생 100년 시대를 살아갈 고등학생들에게 필요한 것에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 탐색하고 둘째, 얻어진 데이터를 바탕으로 인생 100 년 시대의 새로운 생활설계 학습 모델을 제안하는 것이다. Kanto 지역에 위치한 한 현의 12명의 가정과 교사를 대상으로 반구조화 인터뷰를 실시하고(2021), 인터뷰 데이터는 Jiro Kawakita (KJ) 모델을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 고등학생들의 생활설계 학습에 관하여, 6개의 개념 특성이 밝혀졌는데, 여기에는 생활설계를 통해서 함양되는 역량과 생활설계의 지도 방침이 포함되어 있었다. 연구 참가자는 전자에 대해서 다양한 요소가 서로 관련되어 있다고 인식했다. 또한 연구 참가자들은 고등학생들이 미래의 삶을 생각할 때 지속가능성과 공생사회를 고려하는 것이 중요하다고 보았다. 더하여, 가정과 교사는 다양성과 사생활 보호에 대한 배려의 두 가지를 생활설계의 지도에 있어서의 배려 사항으로 꼽았다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 고등학교 가정과에서 새로운 생활설계 학습 모델을 제안했다. 이 모델은 사회적 위험성, 다양성, 웰빙의 세 가지 내용 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 인생 100년 시대를 사는 일본의 고등학생들에게 있어, 자신의 미래 생활설계를 생각해나가도록 하는 것이 필요하며, 새로운 모델은 가정과 교사가 이를 실현하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

All nations share a concern for the significant increase in life expectancy. In planning for a long life in a highly uncertain society, high school students must be afforded opportunities for self-exploration and self-development and be encouraged to value their independence, so they can change their current self while supported by their surroundings and society. Study objectives were to (a) explore how Japanese Kateika (home economics) teachers currently understand the preparation of students who are living in the 100-year Life Era and (b) use this information to propose a new model of life planning learning for this era. The Jiro Kawakita (KJ) method was used to analyze semi-structured interview data (2021) from 12 Kateika t eachers in a p refecture in t he Kanto r egion. Six conceptual characteristics related to the s tudy o f high school life planning were revealed including but not limited to competencies fostered through life planning, and principles of teaching practice in life planning. Study participants regarded the former as multiple elements related to each other. They thought it important that students consider sustainability, and intercultural cohesion when thinking about their future lives. Kateika educators faced two particular challenges when teaching life planning: diversity, and privacy considerations. Findings were used to develop a new model of life planning learning for use in secondary Kateika. The model comprises three content domains: social risk, diversity, and wellbeing. All Japanese students require a future orientation to planning their life in the 100-year Life Era. This new model will help Kateika teachers make that happen.
