국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 외상 경험이 있는 대학생을 대상으로 하여 외상 경험에 대한 자기노출과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 의도적 반추와 적극적 대처의 순차적 다중매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 대학생 318명을 대상으로 외상 경험에 대한 자기노출, 의도적 반추, 적극적 대처인 문제해결 중심 대처 및 사회적 지지 추구 대처, 외상 후 성장을 측정하는 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 구조방정식 모형으로 분석한 결과, 첫째, 의도적 반추는 외상 경험에 대한 자기노출과 외상 후 성장 간의 관계를 완전매개하였다. 둘째, 적극적 대처 중 사회적 지지 추구 대처는 외상 경험에 대한 자기 노출과 외상 후 성장 간의 관계를 완전매개하였다. 셋째, 의도적 반추와 적극적 대처인 문제해결 중심 대처 및 사회적 지지 추구 대처는 외상 경험에 대한 자기노출과 외상 후 성장 간의 관계를 순차매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 외상을 경험한 사람의 치료적 개입에 있어 정서적 요인, 인지적 요인, 행동적 요인을 통합적으로 다뤄야 할 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objective: This study investigated whether deliberate rumination and active coping(problem-focused and social support seeking coping) sequentially mediated the relationship between self-disclosure of traumatic experiences and post-traumatic growth. Methods: A total of 318 college students completed measures assessing self-disclosure of traumatic experiences, deliberate rumination, active coping, and post-traumatic growth. Results: First, deliberate rumination fully mediated the relationship between self-disclosure of traumatic experiences and post-traumatic growth. Second, social support seeking coping fully mediated the relationship between self-disclosure of traumatic experiences and post-traumatic growth. Third, the relationship between self-disclosure of traumatic experiences and post-traumatic growth was sequentially mediated by deliberate rumination and active coping. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed the role of deliberate rumination and active coping in the process of self-disclosure of traumatic experiences affecting post-traumatic growth. The results suggest the need for an integrated approach to emotional, cognitive, and behavioral factors in the therapeutic intervention of a person who has experienced trauma.
